i think its 150C when weed become active...being from the uk i dont know what this is in F...but im going to find out what happens.....
because...you bake cookies right....then leave them to cool down before youeat them....so the weed isnt as hot as it needs to be to activate the THC...or when you cook it does the THC stay active??
im going to see if I can find out.
I would think that once activated it would be stored in the butter or shortening (or other fats) in the cookies......kind of like weed butter.
HAHAHA ROFLCOPTER!!!!! :rasta:
ok so i googled it and...it looks like you cant eat raw weed....the only person who sounded like he actually knew what he was talking about (when talking about raw weed having effects) was Nullific
however this site is the only place i could find out info on raw weed....so seeing as no-one else thinks you can....im going to go with the general consensus and say....i dont THINK you can eat raw weed....(im going to try one day for myself though)

It doesn't NEED to be heat 'activated', when marijuana is heated as in cooking a process called decarboxylization occurs in which a carboxyl (COOH) group is destroyed leaving a form of THC more appropriate for GI absorbtion. You can get effects from eating raw cannabis, you would just need to eat more of it."

either way it seems to be a waste of weed......so smoke it :D:D:D:D
lol
Yeah, i think thats how it would work. I mean, if you just got a normal ordinary bud and lit it, it would just burn and waste the THC. So i guess the THC would be escaping by the smoke? So the butter or w/e must absorb the activated THC and store it. Like you said.Quote:

no shit you can..the only reason ppl heat it in oil or butter bfore they cook it into cookies is because that extracts the THCQuote:

some ppl on these boards need to pass high schoo chem.
THANK YOU! thc isnt "activated" by butter. THC is SOLUABLE in butter. take a freakin chemistry class people. your body will still ABSORBE it, it just wont burn it. i've eaten buds before and gotten high, so dont tell me it needs to be "activated"
the reason you use butter or oil to bake with is becuase the THC is highly soluable in fat and alcohol. thats why when you make hash...you can use pure alcohol. Solubility is completly different from the way your body digest things. If you put it under your toung, or eat it. the acids in your saliva and bile in your stomac will break down the structures of the crystals until they are small enough to be absorbed into the blood streem (your lungs do the same thing when you enhale it....puts it into the blood streem)
