I tried it... it wasn't too bad but it was obviously nasty tasting. But I through most of it away as it lost it's potency. I picked up later that day and everyone was merry.

i know that there is a petrol type product in the dryer sheets/ fabric softening sheets you use in your dryer, dont know if there is with detergent tho,
