Well I like stoner,but it implies 'someone who spends all their time-gittin stoned'.

I like cannibinaut..it implies 'one who explores and navigates..'..but then,folks would shorten the name because it has too many syllabels for em..lol. Ya could wind up with 'canni','canniber' or 'naut'.

Back in the '70's,us long-hairs who were highly experienced at doing every sort of weed,acid and shrooms,or whatever psychedelic at hand,called ourselves 'freaks'..lol. Obviously,that name has negative connotations..lol.

Alot of rednecks in my area,call us 'dopers' or 'dope-heads'..they see anyone that tokes marijuana,as dang near the same as someone on hard drugs. I don't think of marijuana as a drug or dope-clearly ,it's a plant ! Us long-hairs,used to call ourselves 'heads',for those of us who were mostly just focused on marijuana and it's many strains and phenotypes.

Heck..I just don't know..lol.

I am kinda partial to cannibinaut..lol..for one thing,it also implies 'an on-going journey'..'to boldly go-where no man has gone..' . After almost 33 years of tokin,I still feel as though I'm in a continual process of discovery and knowledge,each and everytime that I toke up :D

I don't think that "stoner" has that many negative connotations, not round here anyway. "Pothead" is the worse of the two names, but that's because most people saying it mean it in the same way as "cokehead" or "crackhead". So, "stoner" gets my vote.

(I do like the idea behind "cannabinaut", but I just don't like the look of the word. I'm odd.)

You say "I'm a stoner" how stupid are you going to sound if you say "I'm enlightened" ?

It doesn't work.. if you read what i put, you'll see how absolutely ridiculous the idea of calling us "Enlightened people" is :)
