I can't agree with you more on this one. I have a two year old little girl and I'm terrified about who she'll be seeing as her role models. What's out there now for any kid, white, black, or brown definitely leaves something to be desired.

Well Fengzi I just came out of the south and racism beleive it or not is alive and well. Take for instance Harrison Arkansas the head quarters for the KKK yes they still exist. Not only do they exist they had the nerve to adopt part of the highway near Fayetteville.....guess where we threw all our garbage?

Harrison still has a sign hanging in their town square that says All Niggers must check in...their are no black people in that town....
we lived in Rogers Arkansas...my son worked for Braums and had a boss that would back away from the counter if blacks came in and would have someone else serve them. My son reported him to headquarters and instead of firing the man they just moved him. So go spend some time in the south and you'll see what I mean.
When I was there I heard a man yell at his kid to get out of the water because he was not to swim with beaners....(mexicans) if you want to see total ignorance just visit a few southern towns.....

You are an educated person of course you would hire on merit..as it should be
just keep in mind as sad as it is you are an exception.

I have met many men that would not hire a person simply because they were of color.
Racism is why I moved my kids from Arkansas. Their school even refused to recognize Martin Luther King's holiday.

Kind of back to the topic Blue, what would your feelings be if your son was to use the co-founder of the Crips as a "role model"?

Racism is racism, any race or religion I don't single out anyone. I have not heard anyone LAUGH about our soldiers dying either. Nor have I heard anything anti-semetic.....Stop making trouble where there is none Psycho....

the problem would be my own...not the "crips" if your child is picking his role model from TV or music the problem is in the parenting.

I never saw those comments...if I had seen that thread I would have said something because I beleive the only thing worse than rasicm is being silent about it.
