Spanish court orders arrest of US soldiers for war crime
again man, gotta quit takin my words out of context lol. I was saying that the first article posted insinuated that the purpose of the shelling was to silence the media, by only leaving gov friendly reporters left. I was merely saying, 2 reporters out of hundreds doesnt do much, making the arguement fundamentally flawed.

Ah, I guess it's just a little hard to tell when someone is being sarcastic or not. Sorry, I just read it wrong :)

yeah, I tend to be overly sarcastic a lot. What I was meaning by the who knows whats goin on in the upper level was that it may have nothing to do with the actual deaths to the spanish anymore. For all we know those requests to talks were threats. Like: Give us 1 billion in aid or we'll release this to the press. Or some such other shit. Or it could be that the soldiers just felt like blowin something up. Its irresponsible to speculate when there are so many factors ya know. And yeah, its a tragedy when any lives are lost, civilian, enemy, or ally. Doesn't matter, life is life, and ending it is sad. But I would also be quite surprised to see any high ranking figure taking responsibility, or even acknowledge it to any satisfying extent. The problem is though, a lot of this isnt the higher ranking peoples fault. Like the spanish were calling for "Lieut. Col. Philip DeCamp, commander of the Fourth Battalion of the Third Infantry Division; Capt. Philip Wolford, company commander of the tank unit that fired the fatal round" The sergeant I understand, he was directly involved, but going so high up in rank for blame is ludacris. Might as well ask to arrest the general that is appointed to the Joint Chiefs of Staff. Then Bush. A tank crew fucked up, plain and simple.

You mean like the schools, hospitals, Mosques that they store weapons in? MAYBE shots come down from windows that your PRESS wasn't in?

canadians don't seem to fare any better than the reporters, maybe they shouldn't be there either.
