Venus is the brightest object, besides the moon.
I love to gaze at the stars but sometimes all the smog from the city makes it awfully hard to do. Hopefully I get the house in the country I am praying to get and then I can sit out in my yard at night with my bong and my telescope and be a very happy lady!
i hear ya, amydan. i live in houston, one of the smoggiest cities in america. i don't mind seclusion, one bit. one of these days, i'm going to move to northern california and purchase me a oceanside house. it will be mine one day...oh yes...it will be mine one day.
lol. Yeah, when you go in depth into any hard science you find out its all math. (shudder)Quote:

That's good. I thought you meant the brightest in the sky. The World has changed since I discovered that Black Hole near the center of our galaxy. Well, my world.
Maybe this "new" star is our next sun? We've only got 5 Billion Years left on the Warranty of our current Sun.
I don't see why some people find the stars boring, one of my favourite things to do is to go and find somewhere with as little light polution as possible and just stare up at the stars with a j or two and think.
me too!!Quote:

:)
It's amazing when you get a clear night, and you can see the entire Milky Way galaxy (well, one side of it).
