i drink a diet soda like once a week, but for the most part... i just don't drink soda anymore
it's bad stuff
when you wash your face before putting on your medicine, make sure you use Hot water... not cold water, Hot water opens the pores up

In primitive cultures acne is VERY rare. Just watch "Going Tribal" or any other show featuring people who do not eat our modern diet. You will see all the teens have NO acne. Here's my advice--eat things with lots of vitamin A (yams, carrots, apricots, peaches, yellow fruits and vegies). You know Retinol, the acne medicine? It's a form of Vitamin A (but it has side effects and yams don't). Eat fruits and vegetables, at least one big salad a day (skip the iceberg lettuce, use spinach or leaf lettuces like Romaine or red). Eat WHOLE grain foods, like oatmeal and 100% whole wheat bread. Slow down on the fatty hamburgers and fries. Eat "cave man style" as much as possible. Except for meat, potatoes and beans, which should be cooked, eat a lot of raw foods. Start reading the nutritional labels on the food you eat. You need about 2,000 calories each day--that 2.75 ounce, greasy bag of chips may have 450 calories and a load of fat you don't need. The standard American diet sucks when it comes to nutrition. Acne is just the first problem you face with it. Later comes diabetes, high blood pressure, obesity... you get the idea. Beyond that--keep your skin clean and your hair out of your face. Have you ever had a chilled ripe peach when stoned? That is heaven!
