As I said before, Congress and the Senate are powerless to express the true interests of the populace. The problem is with BOTH the Republicans AND the Democrats. They are both worthless parties for effecting real change in the interests of the people. They are both concerned with the advancement of corporate power, because if they weren't serving business interests, capital flight and profit loss would occur, they would be blamed for the resulting bad economy and would lose the next election. This is how big business keeps tight reins over politics. Once in power, any representative is free to abandon all their promises for social change in the interests of the people in favor of business interests, and they have been doing so consistently for well over a century now.

When Jesse Ventura was elected in Minnisota he was loved by the people because of his policies he wanted passed. To bad the state legistature douched him! When you vote for a President I'm a believer that you vote a strait line ticket so the dude has some support with like ideas.
