Sorry rezinator, its impossible to get the other persons IP Address without being the admin of the BOX wich hosts the website. There is no way DEA can break into that and get them, that would involve illegal activity on there end and get sued up the ass.
On this forum it isnt IP Logged like CC is, CC is dangerous place to post for me, Im pretty sure if the DEA tried to they would be in HELL ass shit.
ron made an "Announcement" with all pertinent links at the top of each page a few days ago...perhaps it got overlooked?
Yes I should think that its a a very real possibilities. that the DEA might find some excuse to tap into/get a warrent to look at the hard disk of the hosting server and harvest ISP's all these dopers.

is not entirely correct. This server is hosted at rackspace.com . Feds would NOT need access to this server to get IP information, all they need is access to rackspace.com's network. They would then plant a sniffer box (a server with a network card in promiscuous mode) and record full packet data....not just your IP, but all activity; what you read, what you posted, how long you visited a page before moving on...everything. This can all be done without the admin's of cannabis.com knowing anything about. As far as legal or not goes, IF the data was obtained illegally, it may not be permissible in court, but that won't prevent the feds from using the information for other purposes. In other words, that data could be used to learn other things...and those things COULD be used in court. In my experience, legal or not is not really something these ass-clowns are that concerned about. In addition, Patriot Act powers are vast, and wide-reaching. Your best bet is to use anonymous proxies, or proxy software such as Ghost Surf.Quote:
