I was thinking starting @ 1 minute every 30mins and uping it a little untill it is about right.
I have a silver bullet and to balance a garage it runs for about 12 min for every 20 min it's off. I have a variable timer so for me I'm not limited to the 15 on or off cycle. But for a unit that small I would start around the 15 on 30 off cycle then see how it goes.
Hmm...I think it'd be a lot safer to use an air filter or one of those ozium things.
yeah cheers. i am going to play on my next day off and do some timing manually. I should have more of an idea then. It just gets a bit strong in 15 min.
i bought a digital timer the otherday just to find out it can only hold 10 programs. So it isn't much good :(
ZANDOR ... do you have an opinion on these combination Ionizer/CFL gadgets ... ?? ...

I was thinking about throwing one of these into my 2' x 4' x 7' grow booth .. ?
:smokin:
Hey why not share with some pics if you can I have read many times the way to build it with the two jars and the neon transformer but want to be sure .So? got any diagrams or pics to share? :rasta:Quote:

I assume the level it produces is very small and does not travel far from the bulb. In enclosed room it may build up though so use caution. I believe Ozone can damage the stoma of the plant if not just keep it closed and you get the same results from the plant if the stoma is damaged or closed either way it's not good for the plant.
Just something to think about.
Hey everyone: I just acquired a 3', 10" ozone generator called the Green Avenger. The glass tube in it is about 2' long. My problem is this. Eventhough I taped the supreme hell out of the out take end that has the flex ducting on it along with where it hooks up to my squirrel gan, I can STILL smell the ozone, so obviously I have a leak.
I was wondering if perhaps I have a "leak back" into my room, through the squirrel fan, even though the fan's running continuously. I'm wondering if perhaps I should place an 10" inline fan, so the seal would perhaps be better.
Also wondering if there is a device that you can hook up to these generators that will automatically detect when they should turn on, or is it simply a case of putting them on a timer, and keep fiddling with it till your satisfied it's doing it's job.
My room is approx: 10X12 with 9' ceiling, so if the opinion is that of a timer, could you give me some idea of how many minutes on/off in an hour to begin?
Unfortunately my generator didn't come with a manual so everything is a bit of a guess at this point. Thanks in advance for any input.:)
Ozone has a lifespan of approx 20 minutes, is highly corrosive, and an irritant to the lungs and eyes. Aside from that it does a fantastic job of killing odor. You can build simple ones with a neon sign trasformer or but the massive ones like the Avenger. If you are still smelling ozone you need more airflow.
