HELP! BROWN tips and spots, pale green leaves and death of leaves.
I will be working on getting those CFL's.
And about the pH, am i able to get a pH up and pH down solution or will that only work with hydro?
And yes i have transplanted my diesel many times. But it is in its final home of a 5 gallon pot.
And should i get an electronic pH pen?
Also, yea i know the blue lights are givong off way too much heat, i've already had an instance where the plant got too close, didnt even touch the light but already burnt.

That's a good idea. It will help with all that stretching, and the floods won't grow 'em proper. Putting a circulating fan on 'em will strengthen the stems. Otherwise, you'll have to train 'em to a stake and they'll still have problems supporting buds. So you're in a seedling mix, (unbuffered, most likely) haven't fed 'em and have crappy lighting. Time for some changes. A seedling mix is a bad idea for more than seedlings. Too acidic, no 'body' to support plant.

You might need one or the other. Nobody needs both. But be certain of you tapwater ph before buying anything. I am in soil, and have to adjust my 7.9 ph water. I use phDown. Transplanting into fresh soil, if it's buffered, should be fine over the long haul. A monthly flush helps remove nutrient build-up that will alter ph in the soil.

If you have money to get a gadget, a good ph pen is a worthy tool. But if you get it, also get the calibrating solution and the storage solution. If you let the electrode in the ph pen dry out, it ruins the electrode.
In the mean time, a freshwater aquarium ph test kit works pretty good for ingoing water ph, but it is a color-coded result. If you mix nutrients that tint the water, it skews the results. Same for the runoff ph which is tinted. Only a ph pen will gain you that info, which is invaluable for newbies.

The plant is stretching, looking for the quality of light those bulbs don't provide. You'll be amazed at what issues the change to CFL's will solve. Do you have more bases you can use for more CFL's? If not, you'll likely want a higher wattage CFL than is available at WalMart.

Rusty,
I have on occasion need either to adjust my pH up or down out of the tap. That is why it is so critical to never forget to do the check in my water supply. USUALLY it is 6.5-7.0, but occasionally it will jump. For example if it rains really hard on the fall leaves, it will get as low as 5.0, and conversely, at other times of the year it will suddenly jump to 8.5 as it did last week.
Again I suggest watching Craigs list, I always see stuff like that for sale there.

Most are on a muni water supply which is kept relatively constant.
But yes, some weirdo's have it both ways, lol.
How's the AK x PF seedlings doing, WW?

Lol no no no no no no, i do not have any plants that are bigger than seedlings in seedling mix. I only have my seedling in a seedling mix haha. My bigger plants are in real soil. My Wonder is in all potting soil and my Diesel is in a mix of potting soil and top soil with extra peat moss and perlite that i added in myself. And i know the top soil was a bad idea, i now have a big bag of growers mix i am going to use for future plants.

Okay i now have soft white CFL's, all of them being 100-150 watt replacements.
But anyway, i just watered my diesel plant and while i was looking at the water drain down from the top of the medium, i noticed these clumps of shit that look like little grains of pete moss float at the top and clump together. This made me curious and as i kneeled down to take a closer look these looked like tiny little fish-like things swimming around and clumping together. Once the water drained i looked at them and they appear to be tiny ass white bugs. But they are only in the soil, not on the leaves or the stems.
As soon as i saw them i grabbed my GardenSafe organic insent killer and sprayed them. What do i do now?

Might be fungus knats.... Be sure to let your soil dry 90% before watering again.... Moist environments invite unwanted pests....
Also, place some dryer sheets around your pots or even at the base of your plants.... Pests cannot stand the fragrance....

Dude... why are you bothering wasting your money on all of these stupid lights! Im guessing you have probably spent a couple hundred dollars on all the light bulbs and sockets you have there! If you would just go out and buy one of these 600 watt systems for 220 bucks you would have BOTH of the proper bulbs (MH for veg.. and HPS for flowering) PLUS a sweet shade and hardware to hang it..
600W/1000W Digital Air Cooled Box Grow System
stop wasting your money dude.. go big or go home.. Think about it this way.. all those crap CFL's might give you an ounce of half assed buds off of those 2 plants if your lucky... throw those baby's under a 600w HPS and you will probably DOUBLE your yeild and DOUBLE your quality! You are trying to cut corners dude.. and it just doesnt work! Sorry for being blunt... but seriously dude... look up used gear.. you can get a quality set up going for super cheap these days.. I know a guy who set up a whole 6 light room for under $1000 bucks on craigslist.. he will probably pull 7 or 8 pounds out of his first crop alone!.. a 600w bulb would be enough to grow 14 - 16 plants depending on the size and bushyness of the strain.. and that would yeild you close to a pound my friend.... I dont know where your from.. but roughly $2000 for a $220investment is a SMOKIN deal! Good luck with your grow man.. I hope you decide to get it running properly.. its totally worth it dude!
