Bank of America is not a US Government bank.

Hey send me an email and I will fill you in, lately there has been too much restlessness on public boards here to go into too much detail. Thank you for asking though!Quote:

A hearing date has been scheduled before the House Committee on Judiciary on the two bills that concern patients and/or caregivers growing medicine in rental units. H. 5290 would require licensed patients and caregivers to inform landlords of their intentions to grow medicine and give landlords the right to prohibit growing. To read the full text of the bill, please go to: http://www.rilin.state.ri.us/BillTex...xt11/H5290.pdf
H.5032 would require licensed patients and caregivers growing medicine in rental units to indemnify landlords for any damage that may result from a garden. This means that patients and caregivers would have to purchase insurance or otherwise pay for any harm caused by a garden such as fire damage. You can read the actual text of the bill at: http://www.rilin.state.ri.us/BillTex...xt11/H5032.pdf
The hearings on these two bills will take place on Wednesday March 16 at 4:30pm, room 313, at the State House. Please note that, as we have learned from past experience, be prepared to wait to be heard. Although we may be heard at 4:30pm, we may have to wait for other bills to be heard first. We will do our best to communicate with the Committee and ask that patients be heard in a timely manner.
If you are considering testifying but would like more info and/or support please call the RIPAC office at 861-1601 and we will be happy to assist. Landlords who are supportive of patients and caregivers growing medicine in their rental properties are also encouraged to call us at 861-1601.
You can also call, write or email your state representative to express your opinion. If you do not know who your state representative and/or state senator is, you can go to : https://sos.ri.gov/vic/
Hearings on the bills that, among other things, would terminate growing rights for patients and caregivers by 2013 have not yet been scheduled.
