Starting Hydro Grow, is my seedling healthy?
if you look a little more at it some of says experiment ph ranges. the company i use adds a ph buffer to their product and it is 6.5. i have to do no adjusting at all to my water it goes to 6.5 it have been working for me for years and i am not going to change it now. but i am just showing that 6.5 is the best ph for soil.
we add the cal mag because if we take our ph down to low we block out other more important nutes. so it is easier to just suppliment the small amount of cal amd mag needed for the plant

BUAH HA HA HA HA!!!!!!!!!! LMFAO! SO RIGHT
LEAFNUBIE...These people have been grpwing before you were a twinkle in Daddy's eye. Think twice before speaking in absolutes and by providing one piece of evidence. PH is relative to the strain, the medium, and nutes, etc. But, you are giving someone bad advice. Not necessary to provide half-assed knowledge.
I am glad you are in college, with friends in prep school, etc. By telling us that you are admitting to contributing to the delinquency of a minor. Bad FORM sir. Your posts are violating the rules of the forums.
And wow sir...When your PH IS HIGH, you can cause lockout...and too low below 4.5 will cause Lockout also. You obviously still have a lot to learn about true hydro growing...and not growing in your closet at the FRAT house.
You need to listen to what these people here are telling you...If you listened, you could increase your yield dramatically. Maybe double it. obviously you are new...and have had only a few posts...and recently started growing (being called on your shit, providing bad evidence that you were firther caled out on...and still falling back on your intial asseration...which was proven wrong by the facts you provided as the basis for your argument). Maybe you should listen to your professors a bit more too?
THIS IS WHAT WE CALL AN EPIC FAIL on your end.

Enjoy your first seedling man...Even my first hydro grow from seed is on here. God damn did I make some rookie mistakes!:D
Good job so far and Good luck!:hippy:[/QUOTE]
is it rookie mistakes or was it the ability to create a stable enviroment to grow. did we add more thinking it would help, did we think moving the light closer would make it grow faster, these are things everyone makes thinking they are going reinvent the wheel. basically we all have the knowlge and we know what to do we just think we are going to do it better.
now that you have found that what is the best way that works for you, you have created that stable enviroment that works best for you. and that is most of the so called rookie mistakes. thats why we have to dial it in so to speak it getting that enviroment stable........i am sorry i cannot stress it enough to everyone even new and old growers alike

Ok I was just gonna stay on the porch and let Marty have fun but oops I fell off the porch. Might I bring your attention to the highlighted part of the statement above. Yes everyone finds what works best for them and apparently 5.2 to about 6.0 in veg is avg and 5.5 to 6.5 is avg in flower. So if everyone needs to find their own sweet spot and the avg in both parts of a grow put you at 5.5 to 6.2ish through the entire grow, how can it be said that 6.5 is THE PH for everyone?? I'll stick with the averages and have less problems.

Cal-mag was the issue...it was locking out all of your nutes...and now you should be fine. Give us an update in a week...If the problem persists. The answer would then be your PH. Some strains like querkle, grape ape, and p kush...always need LOOOOOOW PH levels. 5.2-5.7 would be perfect during VEG! It all depends on your environment, water source, medium, nutes, and strain.

ok, I definitely agree I was having lockout from too much Mg, but I also think i was having some serious salt issues, as I just found out that the water in my residence is conditioned, so I dumped and renuted with RO water + calmag, I'm throwing it into flowering tonight, as its about 12 inches now.
Anyway, thanks for all the input, raised my pH to 5.7 too, seems to be growing more rapidly now.
