Legalization for all in WA, we need volunteers to make it happen!

Hey all,

This Friday (6/25), we'll be outside the Washington State Democratic Convention from 10am until 2pm collecting signatures. We may have volunteers who are able to be there later than 2pm; I'll keep this post updated. The address for where this day of the convention will be held is: 301 W 6th Street, Vancouver, WA 98660.

On Saturday (6/26), the convention continues at the Clark County Fairgrounds Events Center, located at: 17402 NE Delfel Road, Ridgefield, WA 98642. We will have volunteers present from 7:30am until late afternoon (convention does not have a set end-time).

Our FINAL DAY FOR GATHERING SIGNATURES to secure I-1068 a place on November's Washington state ballot is SUNDAY, JUNE 27th! We're planning on spending the last day gathering signatures at Esther Short Park in downtown Vancouver, outside the Farmer's Market.

ALL SIGNATURES MUST BE SENT IN ON MONDAY, JUNE 28TH!

Thank you to everyone in Clark County who made it out to our collecting site last weekend! :D

If the 2000 signature gatherers each average of 125-150 valid signatures each and the Stranger ad gets a good return, and Tacoma Hempfest nails it, this should make the ballot. And I believe you got more then average LIG. :thumbsup:

Heck yes, I'm above average! Going to Tom Petty alone brought in about 350! :)

It's a big "if" on those 2,000 volunteers getting out and filling up six+ pages apiece, but hopefully we've got many others who are also above average in their efforts.

If only Seattle Hempfest was being held within the deadline...Tacoma's should (hopefully) bring a good return, and I'm hoping and praying for The Stranger to come through for us. :D

I hope if the boozers can make the ballot the cannabis people really need to get it on now. :(

Do you know if I-1100 gatherers were paid (perhaps by Costco)?

I believe they were paid. Funny people pay for non state booze store support but you have to shame them to get a dime or sign for cannabis support. :wtf:

What's been a bit irritating about this process is that getting a place in the public forum for 1068 volunteers to be heard has been ridiculously difficult--but I see paid gatherers EVERYWHERE (we were even approached the other day while we were getting gas!). Maybe it's our lack of major endorsements? Maybe it's our message? Either way: it's annoying to feel discriminated against.

It's been a rough go for us, that's for sure. But, with integrity and consistency, I'm confident that our work will eventually pay off. :)
