Hey harry! Looking nice from here. September 1 you say eh? I think it might be close to flowering time just so you don't have to cut them down before they are finished.
It's highly recommended to finish training (topping, LST) 2 weeks before flowering, but could still be something to consider. Not really sure how much those girls will stretch and whether the LED has enough penetration to reach the lower nugs? Str8 doesn't do any training (I don't think ;)) and he seems to do just fine though.
Training in early flowering might lead to longer flowering times, so just something else to think about. Maybe try some light LST on a couple? A mini scrog (fewer but bigger tops, almost like LST but maybe a little easier to get a more even canopy) could also be something to think about. Wish I could be of more help but if you still have some questions let me know.
Happy growing

Best thing you could do is get some weights on hooks or strings and use those to train your branches.

Turning downwards at the tips uually hints at a starting pH issue. Right afterwards, nutrient issues will take hold and make it look like a purely nutrient-related issue - don't be fooled! Check your pH first ALWAYS. If you are in soil, an input pH and drainage pH is essential to know so you can determine the conditions of your soil.
