Well Everyone, HB10-1284 PASSED and Romer managed to start the 3rd reading at 4:20 He's cold and calculating!
I am urging everyone call the Gov.'s office and ask for him to VETO 1284, 303-866-2471
If Gov. Ritter has not signed the bill or Vetoed it by Saturday 5-15, we should meet at Civic Center Park for a VETO March to the GOVERNOR MANSION. Bring signs, NO MMJ, bring Patients! Let's start a Peaceful assembly around 11 AM on 5-15
RING HIS PHONE off the HOOK!!! Be Polite to his Aide and when leaving him a message!!!
Please do not take the attitude that it's useless. It is our right to call elected official in this legislative process. This is the final phase of the Process. We Must Be Vocal To The Governor!!!
It is our Right....WE THE PEOPLE!!!
Call EVERY single day, consume the phone at his office with VETO calls!!!
HB10-1284 The Medical Marijuana Regulation bill. 179 Amendments VETO HB10-1284
One of the most important amendments, L.140 introduced by Sen. Morgan Carroll. This would have removed the 5 Patient limit to caregivers. This was defeated. The tiered effect of this monopolistic bill ultimately points to the need for the retail model Dispensary. How convenient for them!!! They knew exactly what they were doing. Numerous caregivers provided mmj to their patients for FREE! Caregivers will also have a licensing fee to pay, an armed revenue auditor will visit your place for paperwork inspection, all plant count and whatever else is in the plan, we'll know soon enough.
Sales tax was removed for medical marijuana. So, now all the sales tax money to cities and towns is gone. Colorado Springs had 2.8 million in revenue collected in 09 due to city sales tax.
Dispensaries have to grow and sell 70% of their product. Only the large Dispensaries will be able to afford this.
Well, what a cash monopoly that is....I'm sure they are all deep in dreams of Financial Grandeur!!!
Grow Operations have to be tied to a minimum of 5 Dispensaries.
Edible producers can only have 5 vendors to supply.
No teaching facilities of any type can be within 1000 feet of a Dispensary.
OPT out for counties, cities and towns. If you are effected by this, you need to know that this is handled like a dry county! Your medicine that you grow for yourself will not be legal. If you are caught, your medical marijuana card will not be an affirmative defense. You will go to jail. This is another benefit for the dispensaries, if you can't grow, where are you going?
Outrageous licensing fees, thousands of dollars, double digits!
This bill EXCLUDES Greater than 50% of Dispensaries that will be put out of business by Aug. 1, 2010
Once their competition is gone, prices will skyrocket. Now is the time to support your LOCAL GROW SHOP!!!

I would suggest a red circle with a line through their Re-Election signs that will be going out this summer for those who supported this MONOPOLISTIC, totally EXCLUSIONARY bill. If one gets in your yard, get out the red spray paint!!!
They financial problems in this State is due to the General Assembly. Many have been there for 20 years or more, time to go.
We need a new crew that might be a little more HUMBLE and listen to the people that VOTED them in. Romer even commented to Sen. Carroll that the Blue Book (The States Constitution) didn't matter!!! The majority of them have forgotten how they got there. Stay on this, don't forget, remind everyone as November gets closer!!! VOTE THEM OUT!!!
Everyone needs to work on anyone they know that lives in Denver, Romer will be running for mayor...Don't VOTE for ROMER!!
179 Amendments, amendment L.140 was not even adopted to allow more than 5 patients per caregiver. The total maximum plants allowed are 30...................

Oh, I'm available Saturday at noon. Where are we meeting?
It will be done first thing in the morning. I will also save my Priority mailing receipt and take photos of ALL my paperwork.
That would be great if they back date it to when they process it. In November

And even though I'm as poor as an American who lives in the burbs can get, if $ is an issue for anyone, I'll pay for gas. I just don't want anyone to miss out on this if they want to be there.
And showing up doesn't mean you're making some blood oath, so take a chance people!!!
And even though I am 99% sure on this one, Wiki leaves me confused, Hemp IS considered part of the "Cannabis" family correct?
MUST GET CAFFEINE!!

We are meeting today for this purpose and to come up with other strategies to defeat this I have a list the Speaker passed on to us of the Representatives that still may be swayed into voting no and thus killing the bill.
Please email and call the list of House of Representatives below asking them to vote no on House Bill 1284. These are the individuals who have the most potential to be receptive to hearing our voice and change their yes vote to NO. This must be done no later than Monday. They Vote on Tuesday. There is only a very small chance that we can still kill this bill which is something we all need to do as patients, caregiver and growers. This bill will force good dispensaries and caregivers to close the doors, preventing accesses to a safe place and local meds. Please take 20 mins and call these individuals or send an email encouraging them to vote no on House Bill 1284.
Thank you.
