Which candidates for Governor support the Medical Cannabis Program? They get my vote
This is the reply I got today from the DD headquarters:
Diane Denish recognizes the therapeutic value of medical cannabis, particularly helping terminal and cancer patients alleviate their tremendous pain. She supported the Lynn and Erin Compassionate Use Act.

Makes me wonder if Vigil and Martinez are in cahoots together.

Martinez is against the program because that's expected when you're running as a Republican. This shouldn't be a partisan issue but unfortunately it is, they see it as nothing more than the liberals wanting to ruin this nation with their godless values.
In California, the polls show the issue pretty much split down party lines and some old yellow dog type dems who are also against it.
Sucks, Narcotics and anti-depressants are pushed on to medical patients like candy, we glamourize alcohol and yet this plant is so demonized.

Martinez is also against the mmj program because she is married to a Dona Ana County deputy sheriff. She would rather prosecute the evil doers than recognize the value of the medicine.

5. Would you work to repeal the state's medical marijuana law?
Martinez: Yes. It is against federal law to distribute marijuana and there are alternative medications that meet the medical needs of patients.
6. Do you agree with former Gov. Gary Johnson that marijuana should be legal?
Martinez: No. I have seen the devastation to families and young people that illegal substances have had. Marijuana is a gateway drug to other substances and a majority of
criminal activity is often related to the use of illegal substances.
