The ' Global Warming' Buisness

It's kind of sad I was able to look at the graphs that were available and call bullshit on this years ago. And I slept through most of high school science. It makes me want to look through the forums and see exactly who the people were who thought we who saw through the smokescreen were the morons. Gullible people...

If Cap n' Trade is passed after this, there is something seriously wrong with our nation. Than again it didn't stop Obama from continuing to talk about the need for climate reform even after ClimateGate.

And now we see an example of why hackers are good for the global community. Someone had to break the law to get at the truth.

I do agree that the Gorebot's are full of shit, but the green act is not all about just stopping global warming. Its about cutting back all together. And to put it in an even simpler statement, its about not being so ignorant and using so much energy. Now, even though people here use TONS of energy, rather saying stopping it all together, the green movement is more towards using more efficient light sources and fixtures. Honestly the MOST green thing to do would be to have a greenhouse to grow in, but due to not everyone having their MMJ card, that is not possible yet. But rather than saying what we do is horrible and we are going to ruin everything by poisoning the world, thats all BS. LEED, the major green movement/organization in architecture, is not about stopping to do everything, but just to do so more energy efficiently. Not using stuff that uses unneeded(looks so weird spelled out) energy when there are much more energy efficient devices. I'm rambling and am really high so let me stop this, but just think, now a days, it cost just as much to build to LEED Silver rating as it does to build inefficiently/traditionally.

That seems like something I could get behind......Im VERY interested in the low impact, off the grid building thats popping up too. Its just so damn expensive....

Well the story did get a ton of media....except the new york times which refused to report it because the emails were hacked...but have no problem outting CIA agents and operations.

I agree that we should still try to reduce our reliance on fossil fuels even if global warming is bullshit. Which I don't think it is. Everyone probably got too ahead of themselves and got a little paranoid, but I still think we are contributing to it. CO2 in the atmosphere traps heat, that's obvious. We produce C02 with almost everything we use, so there is obviously going to be more in the atmosphere. Methane also does the same, water particles etc.
But even if we just pretend we aren't damaging Earth at all, we know our atmosphere is shit, just go in to any major city and you instantly start to feel ill.
We are probably damaging ourselves due to all the crap in the air. This is good enough reason to stop using fossil fuels and start using renewable and clean sources of energy.

The earth has been naturally going through cycles of warming and cooling long before we spewed our garbage all over the place. Global warming has occurred in the past as have ice ages. To what extent people are responsible is the question. Do we have some effect? Probably. To what extent? Who the F knows. To figure that out you would need a control to compare and we don't have one. The money is gonna be in carbon offset cap and trade. If they implement that idea you will see some real market manipulation and the consumer is gonna get screwed AGAIN. I think the influence of man and all the hype is pure BS. Right now I live in zone 7. Bring on global warming. I wanna grow blood oranges and limes in my back yard!!!
