I live in the past too, but I try to keep up with the times as well in my quest to blast my ears with tunes. Good music is good music, no matter the time period!Quote:

for some reason i take personal offence to that statement. Dont hate on electronica. Theres alot of electronica thats way more psychedelic than your deffinition of psychedelic or acid rock. Before i saw that post i thought you were just a new wave hippy and i was cool with that but then you had to go bashin defenceless music. I feel its my duty to pull you up on your ignorance.Quote:

"Lazy"-Deep Purple. (CD: Machine Head)
I'm sorry; I just tend to prefer my music created by human hands playing strings or hitting percussion, not technological tinkering. Yeah, I'm aware that there is great skill involved, but it can't really be compared to creating it by hand. It's like comparing pushing some buttons to detonate a bomb (however complex) to defeating a rival sword to sword.Quote:

Not necessarily, a trance band like Wild Marmalade does all their stuff with hands, a couple of drummers and a didgeridoo. but if there's anyone to recommend psychedelic music, it's Metaphor, dude listens to some extremely trippy shit and he'd be a dude to recommend some real blow-your-mind psychedelic music since I tend to like a more poppy style than he prefers. He always got good shit to offer, speaking of which, Metaphor, you come back but don't name-drop. Bleh.Quote:

I also disliked the reference made to my "ignorance", which I take to here mean a differing opinion that can't be accepted.Quote:

When I feel the need to get "pulled up on my ignorance", I'll let you know. Until then, my opinions will not require your rubber stamp.
...dont hate on electronica, learn to enjoy it...
Ronald jankee's is a fuckin god ...if u say that doesnt take skill, u need to try it...
YouTube - STS9 Collab - Using their drums to jam with!! FUN!
try listening to anything from Particle, sts9, bassnector
all of those are more psychedelic then most of the junk thats been rambled off in this thread
