Is there a dispensary in Washington
I just got my official recommendation this month. The did give me a laminated card to put in my wallet. I doubt it's worth the paper it's printed on.
Some people have stated that after you receive your authorization, you get a "list" of dispensaries or providers. I can't imagine that a list would include anything but dispensaries from a legal aspect.
Alas, my Doc in a Box offered no such list. I am fortunate to have connected with a provider immediately via a friend, but I really want to know if there is still a big dispensary in Vancouver, and where.

Everything is working so far for us... we went to the doc and gave our med records about a week or so after that they gave us a call and we went up and got our card and paper... then we also went to OPRC to become there member who gives you a list and a second form or verification through a card with their number and this
"ATTENTION LAW ENFORECEMENT
The patient identified on the reverse side has been verified by the Olympia Patient Recouse Center as authorized to posses medical marijuana in accordance with RCW69.51A
It is therefore your legal duty and responsibilty to respect and obey the above cited legislation, and to leave the individual identified unmolested and unreported to the federal autorities. Failure to follow state law may result in sizable civil judgements against your city or county if the patient is found to be in compliance with RCW69.51A and their plants, or other property have been seized or destroyed."
Then its got my smily :) face on the other side of the halographic card... i guess just another form of verification...

In these documents you received from this group, did they inform you that you just contracted with an organization, and not a physician who signed your authorization? prolly not huh. Did they also tell you that it is ONLY an affimative defense to criminal charges and it is not legal to use marijuana in any form? Prooly not...
They did give you forms which don't mean didly squat legally, but sounds great....do cops care about how many nickels they would have if they counted how many people threatened to sue them....
First off, all a cop has to say is I smelled marijuana, and your civil case is burnt...probable cause protects all cities and officers...no judgment will be paid.

I would tell you to stay away from Scott L. Havsy, DO on Pacific & 38th. I don't know what game they are playing but I went there not long after their fire, I guess someone got mad at them and torched it. I took the doctor everything he asked for but he kept having Stephine call and say they needed something else. After two months of game playing I finally got sick of it and went in and asked him what was taking him so long to look at it and he said I'll do it this weekend. I got the call again, I need more info, well I already had given them two inches of medical records and finally took them the other 6 inches of records I had from my injuries and disease but to no avail. He is a joke, I don't beleve he even in for real, maybe a police informant of something.
I took just a half inch of my records to another doctor that really cares and he did it in a day.
I am telling you from experience stay away from Scott L. Havsy, he is a fake!

I mention these things simply because a lot of people *do* care about those sorts of things, and such examples do not tend to instill trust in readers for the creator of said webpage(s).

I have verified many MMJ patients through Dr. Havsy's office. You unfortunately had a bad experience with them, but that doesn't mean he is not a legitimate doctor.
Anybody can look up doctors licensed in Washington state by going to the Dept. of Health Provider Credential website at:

I'm afraid I'm one of the people that had a bad experience with him too. Was clearly eligible for authorization but I lacked a lot of medical records because I've never had healthcare and pay cash for everything. Had clear medical documentation that I suffered from degenerative bone disease, arthritis and a busted L3 vertebrae, had tried 4 types of arthritis drugs that just made me puke so I couldn't take them and was still turned down. But thats why we need competition in doctors. Just go to a different doctor that maybe knows a little more about the process than others.

Might a loophole be that, since there are so many strains, one person lets another person try a specific strain to see if its better for a particular purpose? I dunno, just a thought...
I dunno why people keep posting that there are no dispensaries. I know of at least three, all they need are your papers and ID, and they will dispense to you. I bought weed, magic candy, magic brownies, and even hash at one. Pleased with the smokables more than the edibles.

This is insane, dont listen to this guy.. Obviously your medical records were not showing enough, I faxed my medical records to Dr. Havsy's office and 2 weeks later I had my paperwork and card. In fact I was only in his office maybe 30 minutes including the waiting room.
