sorry i didnt get back to you sooner but i had a bad week......i dont use any ST in my cloning process......i use 1/2 strength week 1 nutes recommended by Fox Farm......ive also read that bit of info about the less N while taking clones.....but ive found that when taking clones using a Very High N ratio....i never lose clones or leafs for that matter......they stay perky and usually root in 7-9 day and easily transplantable in 10-12 days max!
Im not also into scuffing the stem.....i feel if you use high quality rooting hormone; the hormone will do all the work...and i make a quick cut and right into the rooting hormone......i then cut the leafs while its in the hormone bottle!

Thanks Killa...I ended up taking a different route.
I ended up with this schedule:
Sunday 10/19 -----> started high P low N diet to build carbs to help in root growth...Text
Thursday 10/23 ----->took 3 clones from each plant (total of 66 clones...tough on your back)
Saturday 10/25 ------>res change...added Bushmaster (new additive that supposably slows stretching when going into flowering), progrow flowering, calmag, LK, subculture (promote healthy bacteria on roots)
Taking clones:
1) I cut the clone
2) scar it and cut off fan leaves
3) immediately then dip in ROOTECH
4) trim leaves while in RT
5) jab scissors into bottom or sunleaves version of rapid rooter and insert clone
6) mist dome and place on dish
7) 24hr light (34W t5)
****After doing all the bending I could I have hit my height restriction for veg so I MUST flower this sunday (3 days after clones were taken)...I know this is bad due to stress but no room. ANY SUGGESTIONS??? My idea was that YES this will cause additional stress but as soon as I can sex them I can cut down the males and tie down any sites that are TOO HIGH.******
THIS IS ALL QUITE AN EXPERIENCE-AND NERVE RACKING AT TIMES TOO. I have checked them everyday but have come into low res's and other stupid little problems too. Takes effort but such a sense of satisfaction...

Killa...I think that this may have been the best advice I could have taken. I took three clones from each plant and tried the scarring technique. I have thrown out about half of the clones ALREADY because I guess I scarred too much or too deep or didn't get the entire scarred part below the surface.
All this combined with the fact that the tops of some of the plugs dried up and sucked the rest of the life right out of the plants in those plugs.
I am now at the end of week 1 flowering. I am trying to flower (and having to tie down a lot) and harvest before I reach my absolute height limit.
I am hoping that they will show signs of sex soon so that I may cut down the males and LST the remaining to keep the females low.
