THANK GOD THEY ARE GONE!!
It also amazes me that a guy who calls himself amsterdam can really think this way. When I first came to these boards, and encountered one of Torog's posts, I assumed it was a joke. I didn't think anyone on a cannabis-oriented website could say those things.
But Amsterdam! Amsterdam is the world capital of peace, love and understanding! Not just for its weed freedom, but for its legally protected gay rights and free speech laws.
Boggles the mind.
THANK GOD THEY ARE GONE!!
i agree with pisshead.. i havent even read what he said.
THANK GOD THEY ARE GONE!!
HAAAAAAAAAA... I just love it when the silly libs keep thinking that Republicans "are full of a diverse group of people, the rich, the greedy, uneducated/religious, racists, rednecks, homophobics".
Yup, just keep thinking that way.... and you wont win the Whitehouse again for another 100 years.
THANK GOD THEY ARE GONE!!
Howdy DJ,
You exclaim:" When I first came to these boards, and encountered one of Torog's posts, I assumed it was a joke. I didn't think anyone on a cannabis-oriented website could say those things. "
I am a Christian,a veteran and I love America..just because I smoke weed, doesn't mean that I have to give up my beliefs or throw away my morality. You're surrounded by liberals who hate America,Christianity and those who despise the military and the volunteers that join. I'm surrounded by those who believe just the opposite..it boggles my mind, that you believe the way that you do..so I reckon, that we will just have to agree to disagree..cause there ain't a dang thing you can do,to change my mind..and I probably can't change your's either.
THANK GOD THEY ARE GONE!!

Howdy Brammy,
That's a big 10-4 ! The treatment of Colin Powell and Condi Rice,at the hands of liberals, has been extremely racist and insulting..so much for the compasionate,non-racist Left. You'd think, that liberal teachers would hold up Powell and Rice,as good role models for black kids, but they ain't..instead..the teachers are painting Powell as an Uncle Tom,and Rice as an Aunt Jemimah..that's pretty daggum sad. There's been talk of a Rice vs klintoon, presidential race in '08..I can only imagine, that many blacks, that have been with the democrappers, would switch parties and vote for Rice...I would..oops,I forgot-I'm supposed to be a racist redneck..that would never vote for a black person..how can that be ?
Have a good one....
THANK GOD THEY ARE GONE!!
1. You accuse me of hating America. I don't hate America, and never said so. I hate the direction it's going in, and I hate the way it's being run. I feel strongly about it because I LOVE living in America, and I don't like to see these things happen that I believe are detrimental to the country. Clearly you think otherwise, and like you said, there's no way either of us is going to change each other's minds about it.
2. I don't hate Christianity either. I may not attend church, but I've attended a heavily religious school and received a full education of the bible. I believe that while the core ideals of the bible stand true, and are worth upholding, some are outdated and unrealistic. I choose to see the bible as a collection of stories that guide you to living a good life. I also see it as nothing more than a collection of stories, and its word is not entirely infallible. I don't believe anything as natural as homosexuality, for example, can be a sin. I think it's a sin to describe it as a sin, and act as such.
3. I don't hate the military, I hate the WAR. After 9/11, I considered doing my small part (I'm too young to serve) to help the effort to find Osama bin Laden and the terrorists that wage jihad on American values. That changed with Iraq. I think American values are worth defending. I also think what you view as American values are different from what I do. Your values incorporate a heavy amount of religious interperetation that I simply do not feel is appropriate. I feel that our army is fighting for the wrong values.
4. I don't hate the volunteers. I respect the volunteers, but I disagree with them. Like I said, my set of values differs heavily from yours.
I refuse to accept the logic of "Love it or leave it." America is great for its capacity to change and to bring unity. Thanks to the civil rights movement of the 60s, for example, we're not nearly as racially divided as we once were. I see Martin Luther King as one of the great Americans in the history of the country. He objected to how the country was run, he fought for his beliefs, and he brought on change that made millions of peoples' lives infinitely better. (Clearly you are not racist, as you've said many times, and I'm not accusing you of that.) I think that if I truly love America, I should do everything in my power to help it develop for the better.
And to the other comments about Condi and Powell--
Just because they're minorities doesn't mean we have to accept what they do. That would be taking the wrong approach from step one. I, and many others, object to their VIEWS and their ACTIONS, not the color of their skin. The ability to object to them on the basis of their ideas is part of the true development of racial equality. To imply otherwise is to impose a double standard.
Ditto Gonzales. Nobody objects to him because he's hispanic. We object to him because he fought to sanction torture by differentiating the prisoners at Abu Gharaib from any other prisoners of war, as well as loosening the definition of torture to potentially lethal force. A lot of pain can be caused before someone's life is in danger. Nobody will die from having their fingernails pulled off. But I'm getting sidetracked.
Like you said, we'll have to agree to disagree. I see you as having your heart in the right place, but carrying very warped views on the same core values that I believe in.
THANK GOD THEY ARE GONE!!
Well, just promise not to hate everyone in this country. The election results were pretty close, as you remember.
THANK GOD THEY ARE GONE!!

Howdy DJ,
1. I'm glad that you love America and are willing to fight for what you think is right, there is a need,to balance out the Right and achieve compromises that benefit everyone. I too, disagree with the direction things are headed, but from a conservative Christian view-point,I oppose gay marriage, but would accept civil unions with partner benefits,I oppose abortion clinics on every corner,I oppose the sexualization of our children,at the hands of liberals and radical gays, etc.
2. I don't mean to be offensive, but the fact is,is that the Human species, reproduces heterosexually..not homosexually-therefore,homosexuality,can never be a 'natural' aspect of Humanity. I'm glad that you've been exposed to the Gospel of Jesus Christ..it's a shame that the amoral confusion of liberalism, has led you so far away from your Father,God, and your Saviour,Jesus Christ..the Son of God.
3. If you don't support the mission of the troops-you don't support the troops..the troops believe in their mission, and because of their courage and hard work, women can now vote and participate,in the governance of Afghanistan and Iraq..why would you deny them their freedom and equality ?
While you may not be calling Powell and Rice, ethnic slurs, the liberal elite and the liberal media,is..and it's despicable and shameful, they should be held up as examples for black children..but because they've decided not to be liberals, the Left is assasinating their characters instead..SHAME !!!
I am honored to call them my fellow Americans..and it ain't because they're on the Right-it's because of what they've achieved in their lives.
Have a good one...
THANK GOD THEY ARE GONE!!

i doubt black people would vote for someone just cause there black, that would be pretty ignorant. yes condi rice is black but she's also a saber-rattling neo-con, i doubt a message of bigger tax cuts for the middle class and more american graveyards on another mans soil, would resinate well in urban areas. i dont mind powell, you say liberals have mistreated him, look at his treatment at the hands of rumsfield, he was ignored tottaly and bush just used him as a friendly face to deal with the u.n.
THANK GOD THEY ARE GONE!!
Condi is a fuckup and a liar, she said publically that she and the rest of the bush administration didn't receive a memo saying Bin Laden determined to attack the US, when in fact they had but never did a damn thing about it, even though at the time Rice was the national security advisor. Then she had the nerve to say "Had we thought that there was an attack coming in Washington or New York, we would have moved heaven and earth to try and stop it," I mean come on, what more proof did they need to decide there was going to be an attack? They certainly had more intelligence on that than they had on Iraqs supposed WMD's, and we went to war for over those WMD's. So why didn't they take action? Maybe because Rice is a complete incompetent when it comes to national security.
I think she was hired because she is a black woman... The republicans want to seem like they support minorities and womans rights, so they hire obedient little Condi to do there bidding. This is sort of ironic, because while Rice was Provost at Stanford University, she "consistently failed to address serious issues regarding minority and women hiring practices." and weakened funding for various campus groups and programs that addressed the needs of woman and minorities.
