Wow, those gatorade bottles are cool for this, you can see the roots and not have to guess when they are ready for a transplant! Great thinking guys! Enjoy the read and the learning!! thanx!
Plants are looking so much better!!

hey thanks PR.. although I don't think transplanting out of the gatorade bottle would be an easy task. the roots are growing like crazy though and it is fun to watch. Lots of people say not to use clear containers, but I've never heard of any damage from algae that can grow. But the coco stays fairly aerated and can't imagine algae being able to grow.
and a huge correction needed due to the dank aka bickeys mr nice / purple voodoo, its only DAY 9 of flower. they are moving so much quicker then my last indoor :hippy:

I think you could just cut them with sissors, gently??
I just love um! But, I like to see it all, too!
Do you think Coco has anything to do with faster gro this time, or clear containters (lol)!! pr:hippy:

This is sweet. Great little cab built on the cheap. I'm just wondering about 2 things:
1.) the clear bottles (as previously mentioned)...roots are much better off in the dark.
2.) The ventilation. You say you've got a fan exhausting the cab? Passively? i've never heard of a passive exhaust...passive intake, sure.
From your description (...1 blower exhausting, passively...My hinging door stays shut perfectly just by the suction...) i am willing to bet that you could improve your ventilation by adding a passive intake. The fact that the door is being held shut by suction says that there is an imbalance in airflow. Your fan is more than likely not running at it's full potential because it isn't able to pull new air in. Cut one or two 4" holes near the bottom of the box. Your door will probably need to be tacked shut, but i bet your fan works a lot better and your temps may even go down a bit thanks to the even exchange of air.
lookin good though. keep it up.

I have 3 intakes, pvc sized holes. the blower is exhausting and the ventilation is great, 80 degrees max and the plants stay almost sideways from air movement.
A lot of people grow in clear containers with no problems, and like I said the algae will have a hard time forming in coco because of the aeration.. I don't think ill see any the whole run, but it will be interesting to find out
thanks for stopping by peoples
