As for the debates, LOL, let Biden pounce on this "woman" and we'll see what sort of reaction the women voters have. Likewise, I'm sure that women from both sides of the aisle will NOT be impressed with this. If you think that they were pissed about the way Clinton was handled in the primary let this crap reach the main stream media.
Have a good one!:s4:
P4B, In any thread about anything that differs from your own personal views, you always like to say things like, LMAO or LOL, as if to everyone reading, this is a laughing matter. In my own experience, everyone that I've known to laugh at a point in an argument is doing so as a way of discrediting said argument, and making it seem like it doesn't matter at all. Now, while i don't mean any personal insult, this always strikes me as a very close minded, stubborn way of debating a point (which basically makes debating the point a futile matter). As if the republican party can do no wrong, and the democratic party can do no right. Also, don't get me wrong, both sides do the same thing. There's plenty of democrats that think the democratic party can do no wrong and so on and so forth. So I don't want to insult either side, and this is pretty much the reason I try to avoid political issues.
Also, since i don't regularly post in Politics, I'll just get it out there, that I think Mccain made a bad decision in choosing Palin because she has relatively little experience, in leading a state with a rather small population, and she is being put into a position where she could have to become president of the United States if Mccain were to die. It also makes me think that Mccain is being quite a hypocrite by choosing using the argument against Obama, that he doesn't have much experience, and then choosing a VP who has less experience.
I guess I got a little off subject there, about this issue, I of course have no way of knowing whether it's true or not, but it sounds like a reckless decision to fly for eight hours after her water broke, and if it's like painretreat said, that she wanted the baby to die, well that's just plain wrong, especially for someone who is against abortion. If she agrees with Mccain that life begins at conception, she would be attempting to murder her own baby (not that any of this is fact, it's just hypothetical).
I'm looking forward to hearing your response to this, and once again, I mean no offense towards you or anyone, I'm just putting my own views out there.

Well honestly look at the post. It's laughable. Look at the links that come up in a google search.. it's laughable and farfetched. How do you expect not to laugh at some of the posts?
It's hard to discredit something that currently has no evidence or credibility.

"I don't mean this as an insult, but here.. let me slap you in the face". You realize that is essentially what you did? Which I found that to be funny as well.. lol. In politics there are going to be attacks from the left and right.. that is just the nature of Politics. Unless you have a thick skin then it is not the place for you (I use the word 'you' in a general term, not specifically you).

Hrm, is Palin running for president of the United States? I don't think so.. Is Obama running for President of the United States.. Yes he is. Experience is much more relevant for the office of president than it is for vice president. Historically the office of Vice President has not been a position of heavy burden/responsibility.
It's great that you got it out there but I feel you're comparing apples to oranges. Palin doesn't live in the delusion that her little amount of time in office/politics is enough to qualify her as president. Obama on the other hand thinks he's a godsend even though he has no history to prove this.

If she wanted the baby to die I'm sure she could've found a lot more competent and discreet ways to do it. You acknowledge that there's no evidence to support that this is true. It's pointless to think about it since there is nothing to prove that this is the case and it's absolutely disgusting to sit there and brood and ponder over.
My mother was stuck in a stationwagon in 110 degree heat in traffic that was seemingly a parking lot. Was my mother trying to kill my brother? Do you see how ridiculous that sounds? It was just the situation she was in, there are many things expecting mothers get crazy about. Maybe Palin was crazy about a very particular family doctor and only wanted him to deliver the baby.
If you've ever known a pregnant woman who get's her regular checkups then you'd also know that many women form a bond/attachment with their doctor that makes them feel safe.
Either way no one will probably know and it's ridiculous to speculate about.

I wasn't offended, but I am disappointed that so many people can latch onto things like this... like Obama's superstar popularity, and like McCain's mansions..
This is just another distraction being thrown out there from what's really important.. and that is the actual politics of the people that are up for nomination.

No, I simply didn't care. You took the time to post something that is trash talk; the equivelant of what you would see on Maury Povich or some other sleezy talk show.
Sorry, this isn't the gossip forum. I've jumped on others for posting crap that doesn't matter about Obama and McCain without evidence. Don't feel as though I've isolated you; you simply got caught up in the windfury that is my quest to cut through BS.
Having an opinion on a political issue is something everyone is entitled to. Gossiping over the birth of their child who has down syndrome is just ridiculous.
If you don't believe this to be the truth then why bother posting it? Especially with no new source links or any thing to give credibility to your post.
What if I started a thread with a topic that said Obama HIV/Aids Rumor and then listed the following with no sources for the information:
Quote:
Evidence:
* Man said he had gay sex with Obama
* Obama is very thin and frail looking
* Obama is very well dressed and articulate, sometimes over enunciating the letter S
* Obama was seen going into a back room with 2 other gentlemen where muffled noises could be heard
Against:
*Obama is married
*This would just be crazy!!
Can you grasp at all, the ridiculousness of your post now?
Quote:
It's clearly just a conspiracy theory and I've addressed it as such, but thanks for nothing, i guess
Then why not post this in the conspiracy theory forum?
You're more than welcome. Anytime I can do more of nothing for you please let me know. I'm more than happy to help. :hippy:

at least she has some experience as the sole head of a government. the rest of these fools have been hiding within the mass of senators, their actions masked by the antics of rest of their peers. as a governor she had a more final say, with no one else to blame and no way to hide her blunders in the crowd.
i'm not quite sure where you see the hypocrisy in mccain's choice. it isn't as if he were placing here directly in the oval office. i'm fairly certain he has no intention of dying in the next four years and, even if he does, there have been worse candidates for the chair. can you imagine cheney or dan quayle as commander in chief? does anyone even remember who woodrow wilson's vp was during ww2?
hell, it might even be a fortuitous turn of events that would place her in the presidency. she might be an even better candidate than the two losers we have running now, an inexperienced senator out of one of the most corrupt political machines in america and an aging political animal whose greatest claim to fame seems to be his denial of most everything his party stands for.

To be honest I completely forget we even had a conspiracy theory forum. If I could go back in time and put it there, I would. I'm not trying to say this is serious politics. I think that is where my mistake lies.
I merely found this floating around the net and went huh, thats a new one...
I like to play both sides of an argument, especially when high.

The pic that the blogger used of Palins daughter to "prove" she was the pregnant one is from 2006

Well, your right, this is kind of a ridiculous point, but I've noticed that P4B does do that a lot, (sometimes on issues that I don't find funny at all) and it's also something that a lot of people that I know like to do. I just finally got around to saying something about it.
While this might not be credible information to begin with, it's still a way of blowing off a point, and it doesn't seem to me like a good way to debate.

Im sure P4B has thick enough skin to stand someone saying that something he says is stubborn, and I really did mean no insult.

This is almost exactly what I said, both parties are sometimes very stubborn, and they like to attack each other, whether it be for meaningful or pointless things. That's why I don't really like politics.

Well, Palin is not technically running for president, but in a way she is. One duty of the vice president is to take over the presidency is the president is incapacitated or deceased, which is not at all impossible, and honestly, a woman who has served two years as mayor of a city with 16,000 people and two years as governor of Alaska isn't someone who I think is experienced enough to have that large of a chance of becoming president.

I guess what I meant by that is kind of unclear in the way I said it. I should have quoted what painretreat said. I was just responding to his idea that maybe she did want the baby to die, which I don't really believe, and I shouldn't have given it so much thought.

You're right, it is hard to speculate on point with no factual evidence.
I'm glad you weren't offended by anything I said. I'm trying to keep any hint of hostility out of my post, because that's everything I hate about politics.
I also agree with you that people like to blow a lot of issue out of proportions, but this issue (if it is true) would be something of importance, unlike things I see or hear about people bashing Obama because of his name (just an example), which is basically prejudice and ignorance on their part.
I don't want to get into any arguments, just a polite, adult debate. Politics is all about compromise, that's the idea that our founding fathers used when the wrote the constitution. It's also an idea that has faded out of existence since then. Nowadays, it's not so much about trying to make everyone happy as it is trying to make the majority want to vote for you, for any reason, whether that be one of substance or not.
Also, once again, I would like to reinforce that no one should take any offense to what I say, it doesn't matter at all in the long run.

No cover up, Palin just announced that her daughter Bristol is five months pregnant now so theres no way she could of given birth in may. It did make a good conspiracy theory though.

There you have it.
Honestly I can't blame her if she did want to keep her daughters pregnancy a secret. No one wants their daughter to live with that kind of social stigma, but I'm glad there's been an end put to this whole Palin's baby is really her daughters nonsense.
