those don't need nutes yet.
kinda glad there not.....just realized I have no idea how much nutes I should be giving them at what stage anyway....... The nutrients I have are general hydroponics micro, grow, and bloom along with hygrozyme......... Should I just follow the suggested ml that came with the waterfarm? Is it safe to use full strength hygrozme (8-10ml / gal ) during entire grow? any other comments good/bad about my grow and setup? .......still new and want to learn EVERYTHING.
I think hygrozyme is safe throughout, they have different recommendations on the bottle for different phases.
You still have a while to go before needing nutes. Probably about a week at least. Right now just be mellow with your plant.
plant has been growing for 19 days.....setup is still the same.....but I feel like somethings off with the growth. Does it look healthy/on track from the pictures? Am I just being impatient.....just feel like its growing too slowly, but looks pretty healthy. Is it ready for nutrients yet? :weedpoke:

from what ive read, you should be ready for 1/4 dose nutes now and then work up to full strength over 2 weeks or so.. I think. Id wait for another of the regulars to agree or slam me before Id go ahead though. 3rd set of leaves is the turning point as far as I know.
Yes go ahead and start feeding your plants seedling/cutling feed. if you are using gh series nutes it should be 1/4 tsp per gallon of water. Make sure you mix the micro first before the grow and bloom or you will have nutrient lockout issues. Then flush out exactly 1 week later and start on a new mix of early grow feed of 1 tsp per gallon.

so that's why my leaves are crispi.... haven't flushed yet and mix in the order of Grow, Bloom, Micro, then add CalMag+ or Liquid Karma... AND NOW IT'S TIME TO FLOWER!!!!!!
DUDE-----
your setup is the BOMB for a single plant!! MUCH props!
I love how you have heavy duty chains holding your lights up, an exhaust it looks like, PLUS some kind of reflective material.... even know about environment...you've done your homework...
We LOVE herb, you and I, and we both want to overdo it. I had to learn to calm down, spend 30 mins a day in the room and just talk to them and then be done. Of course I would check my pH two or three times a day and my PPM every other, but you know what I mean!
You're on your way to success.
My only tips would be----
1) Latewoods Recipe... it's stickied. Go a little lighter on the nutes than his recipe due to your DWC setup.
2) Plan, blueprint, design your flower room/cabinet NOW!!! How many square feet, ventilation, lights (600 watt HPS, perhaps), and VENTILATION!!!!
Come smoke one when you're done... shit, it's all fun!
If you read the label on your gh series nutes they tell you to mix micro first and foremost. Always pay attention to your manufacturers nutes instructions!
just changed my nutes......is it normal if the ph before nutes is 6.0 then after adding micro, grow, and bloom(in that order) the ph is 5.7......then after hygrozyme it's 5.1???
yeah. Nutes are buffered so they bring down the pH and hold it there. Over the course of the week if you top off with fresh water continuously u should see the pH rise as the EC drops. That's normal as the plants drink out the nutes removing the buffering agents.
