yeah, I agree with this; I think it will be more of a figurative "end" than the more literal version (i.e. the earth exploding or something), which really doesn't sound as frightening.Quote:

according to a few sources, off the top of my head,
by end of october 2011, cosmos will have evolved to full conscious co-creation and will have entered the 7th day on every level. (see Ian Xel Lungold's talks on google video for further elaboration )
according to terence mckenna's "timewave zero" brought forth from his studies of the i'ching, we'll have reached the zero point on the graph, which he said was measuring "novelty", at which point i say it will be the saturation of novelty, and what occurs from there perhaps that we'll just stay at saturation of novelty, and things just wont be ale to get anymore novel. alternatively, it will be the birth of the next phase in our universe.

again, according to the calleman and lungold interpretation of mayan calendrics, at time of writing, iirc, we're in the 6th night of the galactic cycle. come the universal teir..... we may likely have a better view of what's to come.
something like that.
like i say, i've responded to alot of these types of threads (there's one on just about every forum), and perhaps instead of conciseness, i'm just getting lazy about getting all the points across.
the end of the world thing comes from a confusion regarding the mayans using a word that we had translated for us as world, where for us to gain a more accurate understanding would have been translated as era. thus: end of era (or "age), rather than end of world.
tada!
(so i was told. i'm no ancient language expert)
but then.... since we're continually manifesting our reality faster and faster, and presumably after completion of our consciousness evolution to the level of conscious co-creation, manifestation would be near instant, and with all these "end of the world" autosuggestions going around... who knows... we might just manage to manifest that. there's certainly alot of dark minds out there, full of toxins, made cynical by various means, who knows. i say we aughta have a prison break from the mental doom prison.
we can manifest any manner of reality... are we conscious yet?
