I just now checked my tapwater pH (haven't checked it in a year, or two :wtf:), I only use it to pop seeds ... anyway, it's a 5.7 today ... seeds seem to pop well, whether 1 yr old, or 5 yrs old, in those RapidRooter plugs ...

also, do you let the stems dangle or is the bottom of the cutting inside one of those plugs?
on my first lid, I drilled 13 1.25" holes, too BIG, that's why the toothpicks thru the plugs in photo :wtf: ... in my newer lid, I drilled 1" holes, they worked better ... the roots grow thru the plugs, down into the reservoir ... last crop, I vegged 6 plants in that box for over a month, while waiting for a vacancy in my flowering cabinet ... got pretty crowded, lotsa roots grown all together, no biggie ... I snipped them apart with scissors, and trans-planted ...
my Sour Jack is doing VERY well, my Killa Queen is somewhat stunted :wtf: ... I didn't get the roots spread out well, during her transplant, hard to do by yourself ... oh well, shit happens :D ... these are day 48 ...
Damn, that looks nice dude. What nutes are you giving them?
I may just have to borrow your bubble-cloner design. That's just beautiful in its simplicity.
help yourself to the bubbler, I copied it from Opie Yutts  ... I don't feed anything to newborns, and use chlorinated tapwater to help prevent 'pythium wilt', etc. the first several days (I have no idea if the chlorine helps, but it seems logical) ... the cotyldons contain everything the seedling needs for its first two weeks ... two weeks in, I will add a 'weak' dose of Fox Farm 'Grow Big Hydroponic' version, etc ... as an aside: I do NOT use 'Superthrive' for anything, except some occasional cloning (over-rated, over-advertised, swill) :wtf: ...
Don't pretend; I know you have a bottle of it over the stove for adding that certain je ne sais quoi to stews and casseroles :wtf:Quote:

... I think I took after my Mom, who 'fixed' everybody else's 'problem plants' ... she could make a brick sprout flowers ! ... after watching her work miracles all these years, I finally decided to pick her brain: "Mom, what's your secret to healing sick plants ?" ... answer: "no secret, I don't know anything about plants, but I watch the 'plant experts' make their plants sick by always screwing with them ...
