HELP!!! is this a hermie or what IS this?
and now as she sits, in the dark, slightly chilly room all alone, i wonder.. what of her prodogy? can i grow one of deez bitches right? got a couple clones kinda veggin' takin in the scene. this whole "light leak" shit, come now, is there no light in the natural light of moonlight, starlight, lightbrite? the need for absolute dark.. period.. no light, then bam! some serious sun for the other 12, seems unnatural, i've never experienced this phenomenon in the great outdoors, over-rated as it may be, i can see at nght, outside, pretty much anywhere, but my grow room? dark side of the moon since the beginning, except maybe a lil red bulb here, a ray of sun shine there, in the a.m., those f-ing lights on the surge protectors, seems dark to me, but oh well, i will do my part in preventing light leaks. if you like reggae, 10 ft. ganja plant is seriously good shit folks. i ramble. i am done with the "hermie incident", thanks for listenin folks.
HELP!!! is this a hermie or what IS this?
This is what I have right now. I have some Jack Herer about 2 weeks away from being done. I just noticed these yellow/green things coming off some of the buds. Are these nanners? Hermi? Should I let it go the rest of the time? I dont see any pollin. Its probably too late to pollinate for seeds right? I'd rather just let it go since its almost done. Its my biggest plant so cutting it down now would be painful. I took clones of the mother and this is one of the clones going in hydro. I also have the mother flowering out too but I can't find any green weeners on her. Before I flowered the mom I took a clone so I could keep the genetics for later. If it is a hermi should I just dump the clone that I have in veg? Here are some pics. Sorry my camera sucks but you can kinda see the nanner above the middle finger in this picture (my ring finger). The second pic is of the nanners I plucked and laying on a piece of paper.

Spyguy,yes those are 'nanners'.
A normal male plant will grow tight oval shaped bunches of flowers(until they open, then they go star shaped). On a hermed female, she will grow random single male flowers which are talon shaped and yellow in her colas(the green ones COULD be small leaves).Keep pickin them out.N.B I read somewhere that planting next gen hermed seeds will carry the 'hermed' trait,so Ive never bothered to find out.Just just keep pluckin. Also like mentioned above check for light leaks or some other stress factor.Peace,RM.

If your strain was stable before you started your grow (good genetics) , chances are the nanners are from a source of stress.
That SAME stress , if repeated in following grows on any seeds you get from hermis, will produce nanns again.
But eliminate the stress, and you will probably NOT see nanners on further grows from these seeds.
At least thats how I understand it.
