Your question Stinks? It belongs in beginners!! What are you going to do to prevent it from HERMING if it does happen? Your going from a Green House to outside any palnt can HERM... What are your credentials Sir... Stink told you keep it tamed doubt the stain differs so drasticlly from the persons who could have helped you....Quote:

question is for beginners? i dont think trying to research a strain before you start sowing it is stupid...? i grow quality plants and the more i can learn about each strain i grow the better i can make it. like i said right after this thread was moved, its a waste of time now--completely off topic.
Orzy- I haven't seen mine herm yet, but it's not the Greenhouse Seeds one, which WAS a shit-poor release by many accounts and herms like clockwork before flowering is complete. My trainwreck came from a friend of mine who got it in seed form from one of her friends, and it's a TW - blueberry cross. Reading what I've seen on the GHS TW release, I'd never grow it. Apparently the OP didn't do the research, or he wouldn't have purchased seeds from this line. There's quite a lot of griping over at ICMag about its herm trait.
BTW dbfresh... no one but admin CAN screw with threads. How do you think I have the password to the moderator control panel?
It's wasted because you decided to be a complete jerk.Quote:

Point being, be well mannered and treat others with respect at all times.
You're the one that came to this forum looking for help, not the other way around.
You should always be cautious when treading in unknown territory. As a grower this should be your number 1 rule. Not only in growing but in most aspects of your life. :icon506:
i treat people with respect but i know how big peoples head get. and then they think they know all. people say tons of shit about greenhouse and they can. truth is they make great strains. some people say that regular seeds are better, i think the only thing worth growing is feminized seeds but thats me. im sure stinky knows alot but so do i about mj plants in general. i was looking for specific issues that people had that grew it.
edit: My post went through twice. erased and added this line. See below post for content.
umm, I really don't even know where you're going with this anymore. Are you arguing for arguments sake? No one here said anything bad about greenhouse. And people having big heads? No one was being arrogant and cocky. Simply offering advice to you and putting your thread where it would get the best responses due to the fact it was better suited for Basic Growing. You're the one who got a big head and went on the attack because you felt you were above the word "Basic".Quote:

Here's where your first attack started after stinky moved your thread into the appropriate forum:
"listen stinky attick, i started this thread to get information on a particular strain, the trainwreck from g.h. this is not a forum discussing my ability to grow. im not a new grower by any means, just new to this strain that came out a couple of months ago. thanks for the move to basic growing!"
Was that necessary? Seriously. She simply moved your thread into a forum where it would get the best responses.
Then below you go on the attack again
hmm...so i am. im guessing by your name u grow indoors? r u doing anything outside this year? you sound very book smart but what results have u gotten around here that qualifies you to be so superior over everyone? cuz u have been sitting on this site for 3years and have commented on everyone? knowledge is helpful and it doesnt seem like im going to be getting the help i need on this one. hope mass gets a good season this year--good luck
You basically attack her growing ability. Saying she's nothing more than empty comments and just sits on the forums all day. If you had taken 5 seconds to actually read her posts, her logs, her articles, her faqs you would see that yes. Stinky Attic does know what she's talking about and the results she gets are pretty good.
You'd be a fool to at least not consider what she has to say.
Then below here it would seem like you didn't know when to stop while you were ahead and you threw in this additional slap to the face:
no im fine but it pisses me off when im in a thread looking for help on the new g.h strain (which was my first post) then someone comes along and decides to move it to basic growing where i wont get help at all. no offence to you, you might be all u say u are, which is weird because no operation is legal in mass. and if you did so all that shit u say u do u should be smart enough not to post it where u could get caught. and again no offence but u are of useless advice because like i said from post 1 im looking for people that have experienced the GREEN HOUSE TW. from what i have read its not the same arcata tw as the origional so im guessing the grow is similar but not as strong. all i know of it hermies late in flower.
Who would know better where this thread would go. You who has 36 posts and don't really know the forums where people participate in or Stinky Attic who is a moderator, been here quite a while, and has over 14000 posts under her belt.
Secondly while someone may not have grown GH trainwreck many strains with the same name grow very similarly. You should really be looking for all advice about trainwreck. Overall if you are good at troubleshooting horticulture issues then you should be fine growing pretty much any strain and probably could do without this thread. If you can't troubleshoot your issues then you may want to rethink your position on being a jerk toward someone who was trying to help you out.
question is for beginners? i dont think trying to research a strain before you start sowing it is stupid...? i grow quality plants and the more i can learn about each strain i grow the better i can make it. like i said right after this thread was moved, its a waste of time now--completely off topic.
No, it's not stupid to research a strain before you plant it. It's always good to be well informed, but I'm a beginner and I would say this is definitely a beginner question. There's nothing too complicated about it at all.
In terms of difficulty your question was as technical/difficult to do/answer as it would be if someone asked for a step by step instruction on how to do a transplant.
With that said, from what I've read you owe this thread going off topic to no one else but yourself.
Sometimes you need to learn to bite your tongue, smile and nod even if you don't like/agree with what you're hearing.
Good luck on your grow.
People had issues with hermaphroditism. There. You want strain specific, you got it.Quote:

Both genera suffer powdery mildew, and some varieties resist it better than others, for example, but it is up to the gardener to identify and treat it when or if it occurs. Strains, hybrids, or species need more or less ferts, and may or may not be all that hardy, but it's all pot. You say you are an experienced grower. You should know that YOU will need to dial in YOUR plants based on YOUR grow conditions... RIGHT? The fact that you got so nasty and defensive makes me think that you have a lot less growing experience than you say you do.
Daihashi, thanks for taking the time to write out that very reasonable post. I think it's good advice all around.
This completely bizarre thread is over, because I'm just sick of looking at it.
