new to cfl grow

I don't really know the ph of promix. I can get a small 4" pot real quick and take the run off measurement of my tap water real quick.

ok.. here's what I got

Tap water ph: 7.4

soil run off of promix in a 4" pot: 7.4


I used about 12oz of water.

so I would say that promix has a ph of 7. If you get some ph down solution and just ph your water to 6.3-6.8 you should be just fine I think.

Thinking back on it that's what I did initially before I transplanted them.

be sure to get some ph up as well since nutes will probably knock you down below where you need to be.

It's cheap and worth it. I think I paid 8 bucks each for 2 big 1 liter bottles of ph up and ph down by technaflora.

So just to make double sure, you want 6000k for veg and 3000k for flower. After that, you can't really go wrong. :)

ok cool il probably just use 3 45 watt bulbs of each the lower and higher kelvin should probably work out pretty good

I find it is hard to find CFL packaging that contains the Kelvin rating too. I don't mind making two trips so I usually go to whatever store and see what they have... then go visit the manufacturers website. They usually have ALL the specs on every bulb they make (lumens, watts, kelvin.) I know GE for sure, N:Vision, Phillips I think. Hope that helps anyone who wanders through. you should start your own thread, but i would try adding at least 1 more 125w cfl to flower. it would greatly benefit yields and potency.

i will start doing my own thread soon but im new to this site n computer 2 me is like ocket science i will ad another 125w cfl to my growroom if thers enough space inint as it only small. thanks 4 the help:thumbsup:
