This is Day 2 since I first saw the seed-shells breaking the top soil.
Picture 1 - This is the slower growing of the two. I'm sure it will catch up soon. Maybe she had to fight with a piece of perlite to get up?
Picture 2 - This is the most prominant of the two thus far.
Picture 3 - Soon, I plan to have a 3-some with these two ladies.

Nice job. Mylar looks good considering it looks like you had to hang it on fabric. That thing is made out of fabric right?
I saw one at some closeout store, would be a nice mother/baby room.

Thats good that they are feminised. Definitely cuts out a lot of work. I want to try and make my own feminised seeds on my next harvest.

Actually no, I taped it to the frame.(Duct Tape) The cloth drapes over top of it. The mylar got a little wrinkled from putting the cloth over top of it.
The mylar got screwed on the bottom from how I put it on the frame. I took the roll, taped it to the frame, rolled the mylar out to cover the side and create the wall. Then used a razor (xacto knife) to cut each wall free of the roll. Well cutting it with the razor proved more difficult than I previously thought. If the mylar doesn't have enough tension on it, it's almsot impossible to cut it...

good looking set up man
i'd have to agree with whoever said a shorter veg period would be better,i did a single plant scrog indoors in a small space, vegged for 4 weeks and the finished plant filled almost all 88 holes in a 18 inch by 12 inch screen, don't want to imagine how big it'd have been with 3 months veg
good luck witht the grow man

Well, as expected, the lady on the left threw the shell off and spread wide open. She literally doubled, almost trippled in size overnight. They both did really. I'm impressed.
Picture 1 - This is the plant that had the seed shell still intact yesterday. Big difference. You can see the shell to the left of the seedling if you look close.
Picture 2 - Still the most prominant of the two.
One thing I have noticed which I've never really had before is the stems on both seedlings are a dark purple color...Um, I've heard that can be natural. Which is true because many upon many strains of cannabis do present that as a genetic trait. But I've never seen it before in any of my outdoor grows with this particular strain.
Any ideas?

Thanks!
And thanks for the insight. I appreciate all the information I can get.
Personally I think a lot of that has to do with the strain though. If you're unaware of what strain you have to begin with (bagseed), how big it can get outdoors/indoors and what not, then yes, growth spurts can be a problem with SCROG.
But I'm feeling quite confident that I'll need almost the whole 3 months to fill the amount of screen I plan to use. I've grown this strain before and I'm really hoping I know its tendencies.
The thing is I've never grown it indoors and I don't want to fall short at all.
We'll see how it goes.

yeah man,i know what you're saying,i was opposite of you,i'd grown mine indoors but never tried outdoors,so i did this summer, the 1 thing i did notice was how much slower my strain grew outdoors compared to indoors,6 inches in the 1st month outside compared to 12-14 inches 1st month indoors, remember you don't get bad days indoors or cloudy days dull days etc, plus i also noticed that outdoors the growth spurt was no where near as much as indoor when flowering starts,my strain triples in size indoors yet outside it only got about 50% taller though bushier,
with regards to your purple stems, all my seedlings start out like that but have changed green by the 2nd set of leaves, reckon it could be the temp in my case

Well I really hope the purple coloration isn't a sign of a deficiency..:(
Hmm, you'd think it would be the other way around with redard to your plants being larger indoors and smaller outdoors...:wtf:
I guess that depends on where you live because generally speaking plants SHOULD be larger outdoors...
But I will definitly take this into huge consideration because this is one of the most important issues at hand.
We'll see how far along we are around then end of the first month. I do know that this strain WILL double in size once flowering is induced. However on the other hand the strain is genetically limited to about 3ft. I've never seen it get any bigger than that.
I took the day off work today. I don't know why really, just didn't feel like going in. Maybe it's the winter? Aw hell who cares.
But I will post pictures of Day 4 when my lights turn back on. I havn't even seen my ladies today. I can't wait to see them!
I bet they've doubled in size again!

seedlings don't have to worry bout nutes.
its all in their first set of halfs that opens. Don't have to fert them till they are at least 4-5 weeks old. And they don't need much.
