Good politicians don't say good things, they do good things. Saying marijuana is not a drug, (which doesn't even make sense because it is a drug), is a far cry from him telling the DEA to recognize California law and stop raiding co-ops and preventing patients from getting their medicine, (or drugs).Quote:

I know I wouldn't mind living in California, way to go Arnold.
I know that he couldn't do it, but just imagine the shake up in the race for president if he could run. I heard Bill Maher say that the other night, and it really got me thinking.
If topics like this get tossed around in the media, it is a good thing. There needs to be discussion so that people are informed and make sensible decisions, not blinded by the bullshit the media spoons its viewers.Quote:

Well I just found it amusing , but why would I care as I am English and we have our own set of nutters running things.  :D
Arnold is a terrible governor. He ran on a platform of fiscal responsibility but his only platform now is to be popular so that he can defeat Barbara Boxer in the next Senate race. He has no allegiance to any principles, he just says whatever it takes to get elected then does whatever it takes to be popular.
...just like all the other lying politicians.
PC :smokin:
That would be fine and dandy if all he was was an actor, but he is a Governor, and he not only had the star status to make a bold statement, but he is the best person that could stand up to the Bush administration, yet he doesn't. This statement he made will not change one single law, will not end one single raid, and will not help medical marijuana patients have safer access to their medicine, yet Arnold has the power to do all this but doesn't. He is enabling the Bush administration to walk all over California law by not doing anything, and until he stops enabling the Bush's he has no respect at all from me and I think more people here need to realize the difference between doing something, and talking about doing something, because Arnold is not doing a damn thing at all.Quote:

I don't believe "any news is good news", because it can have a reverse effect if the proponents of marijuana sound like idiots in the media...and Arnold, sorry, but he never comes off as anything more than an Australian body builder lol The speaker has to be taken seriously for their words to be beneficial, otherwise the media can have just as much a negative effect as it could a positive one.
This Video HAs Some Info About Him And how he feels about marijuana... Now all of a sudden he is a pothead..

Cannabis is a drug, just like tobacco, alcohol and caffeine. Any mind altering substance is a drug. I hate it when I hear somebody say "alcohol isn't a drug" I usually have to tell them otherwise.
