^wwwwweeeellllll let's think about this... other than the shit gaurds give everyone, he won't deal with much shit. the inmates will either respect him or fear him. of course, there will be the jackass that "tries" him but I think mr. dogfighter can handle his own.
he deserves the 23 months, for what he did and his demeanor. I mean, the guy got high after being indicted(sp?). Most average joes do, but that's just it. HE ISN"T AN AVERAGE JOE! He should know that....
I don't know.....I can't criticize since I smoke weed daily but there are times when you shouldn't get high and Micheal Vick didn't care. lol
I have no respect for him.
I don't seem other inmates having any reason to fear Vick. Any trouble could jeopardize his early release, of which he will need every day if he plans on attempting a comeback, and he isn't that physically imposing. A lot of respect for sure but I doubt any fear.Quote:

truly, it was because he's black, i dont care what you say, bob barker does that shit ppl are still pissed but not like ppl were with vick. and he aint gettin no 23 months either
the way people acted was like he fuckin murdered a family of 5
killing dogs is wrong, but at the same time we watch human beings be put through much worse and we just watch and take it and say lifes tough
he killed some dogs, hes wrong, but there are far more inhumane injustices that happen all around us everyday and no orginizes a fuckin protest about those
It has nothing to do with the fact that he is black. He committed multiple crimes, some violent in nature, he lied to prosecutors, he was then found guilty due to OVERWHELMING evidence, he violated his probation, and he eventually admitted to his actions and pleaded guilty! He deserves every day of his sentence and then some. Turning it into a race issue is total fucking bullshit in my opinion.Quote:

Vick brought it upon himself
i never said he didnt commit those crimes. never said he didnt bring it on himself, but i do think some of his troubles can be attributed to "friend loyalty" not wanting to get his friends in trouble, the same "friends" who turned on him tho.
im in no way trying to justify his actions but tell me that a strict conservative white judge sentencing a young black male that has been portrayed as a "thug" isnt gonna come down harsher then someone sitting up there who is more like him, white, you are turning a blind eye to the shades of racism that sadly do still exist
and the sad thing we are turning a blind eye to harsher crimes JENA-6 (also black males)
was going on at the same time, did something wrong but nevertheless still occurs everyday, and they were sentenced to something outrageous (im not really quite sure) and yeh you saw some protesters of their sentence but they were from their home town they were friends and family, you didnt see flocks of random people trying to fight for their young lifes and keep them out of jail did you? I pretty sure there sentences were lifted since then though, but its the point that people are willing to fight soooo hard for vick to be in jail, but at the same time wont lift a finger to help people who are being fucked by the legal system.
Well he's been in jail since he turned himself in early and it will be curious to see what prison they send him to./ There's a big difference between jail and prison and if they send him to a federal prison that has violent offenders in it, you get bet your ass no one will be afraid of Vick. He may or may not be able to take on guys one on one but it's prison Spoken Word. They do things in groups and not one on one, hence the term gang rape in the shower room. His only saving grace might be that a gang will protect him or no one will want to get herpes from him. If he wasn't going broke he might be able to afford protection.Quote:

Facing 5 years in prison, losing tens of millions of dollars if not easily one hundred million dollars, watching your career go down the shitter, being made fun of constantly, becoming one of the most hated people in the U.S., people are protesting you in the streets, etc etc etc, many people would say fuck it or be depressed or feel they have nothing to lose or decide this might be a temporary escape from the pain and smoke some pot. There's people on here all the time on probation smoking pot. He should have signed up here and learned how to possibly beat his drug test. Not doing that was even more stupid. Granted pot isn't physically addictive but drug addiction can turn a mother against her own baby. Don't be so shocked that someone who smokes pot lit up while facing prison time.Quote:

All of this is bullshit. This is not a race issue. The reason why people aren't outside the court protesting FOR him, is 1) He lied. 2) He's guilty. 3) He's guilty. 4) Violated probation making his image worse. 5) He's guilty. HE'S GUILTY. He got a standard sentence for someone who has contributed to a big dog fighting ring, and killed innocent animals, as well as violated probation.Quote:

If you want an example of someone who is in the spot light such as Michael Vick, although not an athlete, that still got jail time. Look at Paris Hilton. 45 days in jail for violating probation...well 3 times lol but still. She still got jail time and she didn't participate in illegal dog fighting rings, kills multiple dogs, lie to the NFL, breach her contract, smoke marijuana on probation, etc.
Must have been a race issue with Paris eh? oh wait, it wasn't.
