I've only had a foot-tall bubbler, as far as bongs go (i know small bubblers are not really bongs) and that had a carb on it, and for the size it worked totally well
but recently iv been into bongs w/ sliders... i dunno, it's more interactive lol

Meh, to each is own, I use a carb bong because thats all I have, but I have used slide bongs as well. I really don't prefer one over the other, and I can deal with each. But with a carb I make little whirlwinds when I draw, and when I let go of the carb I take a fat ass draw to clear the smoke and bring in new smoke, and let go of the carb. REPEAT AS NEEDED lol but with a slide its alot easier, and no fucking laps of water to worry about either.
Bongs with a carb have to have it placed in a correct area for the peice and that is hardly ever done. Which is why a slide is usualy the best way to go, and glass on glass is the only way to go.
The only time I used a bong with a carb was when I bought a bong that looked really cool, but in reality it was a total piece of crap. It was a plastic double chambered bong, I thought it looked cool with all the tubes n stuff, plus it had a neat green color....but the thing really sucked...
I'm guessing any decent bong maker will make it as a slider, and the only bongs with carbs are the cheap crappy ones, (cheap as in quality that is).
I just got a new bong a couple weeks ago, nice little glass bong with a slider of course, and I love it :D Easily clear the bong with every hit...just cant do that with a tiny little carb hole
So, why is it that carbs suck? I have 2 bongs right now and both of them are slides not carbs. Most of my friends that smoke all have glass on glass bongs with slides too. I have hit plenty of bowls and bubblers with a carb, but the only carb bong i have ever hit was a 4 foot acrylic. i hate acrylic bongs and a 4 foot hit is pretty intense, so that isn't a good hit to judge by. is it just the size of the hole that makes it hard to hit?
this is the reason i ask :
GrassCity.Com - Molino Glass Bong Large - with Clear Glass Precooler
if that wasn't a carb, i would buy it right this second. i have a bubble bottom and beaker bottom that are slides as i said, but i want a straight tube. that is 4.2 mm thick, 45cm/17.7in tall, glass on glass (pyrex), with an ashcatcher, and ice catchers. for $85.00. that seems like a sick deal to me.
would i be really let down if i am used to a slide?
just me mabe, but i cant seem to goto the 2nd page....mabe just because im high :stoned:
*edit* there wasnt a 2nd page haha was a weird bug tho
yeh its a piece of pissQuote:
