Interracial (serious)relationships/marriages
i dont hvae a problem with others having interracial marriages, but its not for me. i've never dated or slept with any girl outside of my race, and there is a very good chance i never will. but to each his own...what others do is really none of my business.

And I'm sure most would agree with you. I know I do. I just made the thread for discussion, not for any personal reason.

love comes in many shapes and sizes, and colors.. who cares we are all people in the end.. different skin color should not effect anyones decision UNLESS you are just not attracted to that person, and why do some people hate when their are interracial couples? How are they effecting you? They are just people who have fallen in love. and for the guy who started the thread.. not only interracial couples fall apart.. every race of marriage fall apart either the person is ment for you or not.. its all about the individual in the end.. not the color of your skin..
I grew up with skin heads, and they have read me the bible they worship and sang me their songs. But they will never take me to their side. i do not believe in a one person nation. its takes many to keep this nation standing.

...a black chick and I hooked up in 1983 and we was as lost and confused in 1989 as we were the the first day we met....I split...I was chasing a lost cause...and she was looking for a future...

And why do people keep insisting I am talking about the color of skin?. lol
I'm sorry, it seems this discussion was misunderstood.
I was leaning towards the child aspect, the family values....the "home"
not the colors or races.

It seems that "misunderstanding" must have occurred because of your use of the term "interracial" in your title. You were referring to races and didn't specify that you meant people of different backgrounds or cultures.
As far as mixed-heritage children are concerned, I think the blending of cultures and races and the resulting children are what will ultimatley get rid of the last vestiges of racial discrimination. Those kids are everyplace now, and unless they're in particularly unevolved parts of the country or world, they do just fine. This is almost 2008, not 1958. There will always be stanch believers in racial purity, just like there'll always be Nazis and skinheads and others uninformed types who kid themselves that we're not all a mix of something. But when the older generations die out and increasingly we see people who were raised after civil rights and equality were givens, that's when widespread acceptance of diversity will reign. Blended-race (or "culture") kids and interracial marriages are helping hasten that process even as we speak. Which is, the way I see it, a very good thing.

You're absolutely right.
I'm not arguing that "racial purity" is right nor wrong.
I should have used "different ethinic/background marriages".
I just figured people didn't see "race" as black or white.
There are multiple white, black, asian(and many other) races.
but I sense I'm being percieved as racist... or someone against diversity so....nevermind....sorry I brought it up.

i dated a black girl once it was a pretty good relationship, untill she went a joined a cult and broke up with me to date jesus. stick to your own kind and stay away from all religious black people
Interracial (serious)relationships/marriages
The first black woman (technically a girl but i was a boy then so it's all good) I dated I had to break up with because she refused to tell her racist dad about me. The first black woman I slept with was a hooker when I was on leave from the marines. The third black woman I knew I wanted to marry but it was a long distance thing and didn't work out. From these women I have learned one thing....THEY ARE WOMEN! WTF does race or color have to do with it? Who cares what other people (gawkers) think? Does that person make your heart sing?
Seems to me we are all going to end up a brownish grey in a few more generations anyway.
