Went over to a speed freak's house (she was still an OK person at that point) and there were these dudes sitting there, smoking a joint with her. After she reassured them I was all right (hey, I LOOK straight and we all know how paranoid tweekers can get), we all sat there toking.
Well, they were BSing and finally one said "What are we going to do about Harry? His body has been lying in the ditch for a week now." Another one said "I dunno. He ain't our problem anymore. Let him rot." "We ought to do something about it." This sort of talk went on for several minutes. I just sat there toking and trying to maintain. What kind of friends did my dealer have??? I was quietly freaking about folks callous enough to leave their friend lying dead in a ditch!
Turns out Harry was "Hairy the dog", the local stray, who had been run over one night!- Granny:hippy:
