Thanks for the info. Yeh i'm scared enough as it is to touch them lol i will leave them for a week and also I haven't got the CFLs yet should be here tomorow or monday :). I've just got £25 so gonna get some superthrive and clonex and hygrometer ;) . I'm sticking to a water every 2-3 days scheme so fingers crossed they will do well, update tomorrow to say if they are reaching for the are turning or not.
i used to have two plants and when they were tiny seedings i put a 2tube 4" shop light right on top of em...and i mean RIGHT ON TOP, only about 2 inches away from the tops, i still keep all my cfl very close and have had a very successful grow so far.. I love DWC cause i get to see the roots....they are so white and fluffy now it s so awesome.....i would recommend trying it for your next grow if you got a little cash to spend on a really cool experiment....i am loving it:thumbsup:
I might just do that, probably on my third grow though as i would like to perfect my second grow :)
You'll be looking to see if they stems are stretching. As in lots of stem to leaf ratio. We do fully expect to see the plants just turning tword the light, just don't want them putting all thier energy in getting to the light. And for the watering...take it from someone that has overwatered and underwatered...you'll only want to water when the pot is light and you poke your whole finger in the dirt and it's DRY....I'm not sure what the 2-3 day regimine is, sounds bad...if that is your only guideline. Sometimes I don't water for 6 days!Quote:

Wicked my 6x 15w CFL's came today and they are sweeeeet. £6 for 6 and they are brand new. Just going up the electrical store to get some hangers, I'll post you on updates :)!!
Ok they are a very odd fitting so I've had to order it them over the net. They will be here saturday or monday!!! I have bought 2x 26w CFL's with bayonet fittings to get a better jump on the veg. Wiring them up now and will take a piccy for you all to see when its done :)
Wicked got 2 set up OK, they are hard to position does anyone have any ideas how I can position them better, as it how it should be held?

i had a few problems with my lights too. sometimes getting the clamps to fit right and hold my large double bulbs was a pain, wish i could offer advise butsince i cant see everything you have on hand to work with it would be hard to make something work....McGiever it, do you Brits know who McGiever is, just be as resourcful as possible and try to get those lights horizontal so more light will be cast on the plants... just an update on my grow...it has really taken off over the last 8 hours and im almost sure i topped correctly since there are more than 2 new shoots that appear to be emmerging from wher there should have only been one....started cooling my reservior with water bottle which apparently u should have been doing earlier and the plant is still a dense little guy although it seems its gonna stretch once i get to flower, cant wait to see if this is girl....lets keep our fingers crossed....
