seriously nice bud...
No idea of the name - but for pure sativas [landrace strains] Africa is your best bet.Quote:

I fancy some skunk though.
sativas dont have much resin production? Arjans ultra haze was the best strain of 2006 with a good 22% thc and Hawaiian Snow about 24%, Nevilles haze, which is considered to be a pure sativa is about 21%. ..Krush, which is a afghan sativa, gas spec tested at: Delta-9THC=26.1882%, CBD=1300mc/g CBN=5500mc/g Delta-8THC=<200 (test info from icmag.com)
sativas can have much more resin production than many indicas. But its hard to find or grow sativas. They are HUGE, fert sensitive and need a 10-14 week patience from the grower just for the flowering period... Not many gonna bother growin it. Being a sativa lover, i had the chanse to smoke some AMAZING sativas and i must tell you, i would never change a sativa psychedelic high, not ever for the best medicinal indica couch lock. Sativas are magic plants
But they have alot more downsides - paranoia, trippy highs that seem to scare noobs, no good for medicinal use, and as you said, they take alot more time and care to grow properly.Quote:

But even low % sativas have a strong high.
I dont think it has to with plant hight. Sativas have different metabolism than indicas. They may be bigger, but they use energy differently. Saying that sativas use more energy in veg so they lack in potency during flower coz they are huge is just wrong. Sure they need more light, careful feeding and patience. Sure sativas have less medicinal use and im pretty sure they can scare noobs away. But who said sativas are for unexperienced smokers?Quote:

Yes, there two differnt species, but indicas still tend to me stronger and ahve a higher THC% and i belive this is because the plant is shorter and doesnt have to use more energy keeping a bigger plant healthy.Quote:

It's not wrong - it might not be 100% right - but it's not "just wrong"
Thats some of the most beautiful bud i've ever seen!!! I'd almost feel bad smoking it... lol.
Trust me there are Sativas that blow indicas out of the water. You just don't see them from UK growers - for reasons that are already obvious.
Didn't beleive it myself until just after christmas when I got a good supply of very strong Sativa. Until then I didn't reckon much to it - but it was better than My White Rhino and that really shocked me.
But Hybrids for the Win!
indicas have high cbd and cbn levels so that gives em extra medicinal points. And i honestly believe that no plant is more productive in potency than the other. Their canabinoid levels are just different. Sativas have lower levels of cbd and cbn and usually go high in thc, giving a total different high. I must say again its not easy to grow a sativa. If the grower is experienced enough to keep the metabolism of the plant in right levels so the plant doesnt abuse food but just takes what it needs, you can have incredible results. Ive seen ENORMOUS colas in some outdoor sativas, dripping with resin. A guy i knew used to harvest more than a kilo of incredibly dank bud from each of his 3-meter-tall monsters. But i have also seen badly grown sativas with spindly buds and burnt leaves fighting to stay alive due to fert abuse. So i believe is up to the grower to grow a helthy dank sativa. Which is not very easy and needs experience.
