Well geez, Blackberry. I don't know what to say. Lying? I may be from Tex-Ass (as you say), but I am NOT G.W. Bush.......I have nothing to gain by lying.
Let's look at the photos. Do you believe I toted those heavy-assed planters deep into the brush to take the photos just to say that they have been growing outside in order to........what.......fool people?
And check this photo out. It is a Leda Uno I did the same thing with. Difference is this one I put directly in the ground when I took it off of 18/6 about a month after the others! Oh, but I probably went to the trouble of digging a hole just to take a photo. Right?
You know.......you look like a pretty decent guy (Yes, I vivited your "Myspace"), but your manners need some re-tooling. Are you one of those Yankees I hear about that are raised to be rude? If so...let me drop some advice on you. You come to Tex-Ass and call people liers, it won't be very long at all before you get a Texas size ass-kicking.......my friend.

Okay Brother. But for real....this is just how I did things. I Swear!
2/22 - Planted seeds directly into 16 oz. Dixie cups filled with Miracle grow "Organic Choice" soil. Kept top moist with spray bottle and they sprouted in 3 - 5 days. They were under T-8, 2 x 4, 42 watt, 6500K Philips "Daylight Deluxe" lights for 18/6 about 30 days.
On or about 4/1 - Transplanted into 3 - 4 gallon planters filled with Perlight, sorgum peat, medium priced bags of humas/manure, and a bit of medium priced clean top soil. Changed fert from Miracle Grow 12/8/4 to Vigoro Bloom Builder 10/52/10. Set them outside. They started showing sex within a week and have continued to flower to this day.
Not that hard. It would be interesting to see others attempt this. I'm guessing you need to start with a sativa/indica mix because the Sweet Sativa Specials, which so NO signs of indica at all, acted like nothing ever happened...they just keep growing.
Look....I know I can put seeds in the ground down here and get buds in Oct. What I wanted was some fresh bud before then and figured I would give this a try. It worked....I don't know what else to say.
Now....if I can get them to re-veg under the same lights.....I will have more bud to clip in Oct.

I guess you guys up North (anywhere really) can give it a try next spring. Just find your average date of last frost. Plant your seeds indoors 1 month and 1 week prior to that date. Veg them 18/6 for 30 days then set them out. Keep an eye out for those really cool nights that are bound to happen...bring them in if you need to...and see what happens. Buy some sativa/indica seeds so you know what you are starting with (as opposed to using bag seed that could be sativa.)
The facts are this: On April 1 sunrise was at 7:11am. Sunset was 7:41pm. 12 1/2 hours of daylight. On June 1 sunrise was 6:19am. Sunset was 8:20. 14 hours of daylight (10 hours dark). There was 1 1/2 hours of gradual light change in that 60 day period. Even 10 hours of dark is still 4 more hours than they were vegged under. And remember, they started with 11 1/2 hours of dark on April 1....an immediate increase in darkness of 5 1/2 hours.
Listen.....I don't know how to be any clearer....this (the above) was my line of reasoning when I thought "Why wouldn't it work?". I tried it and it worked. Believe it or don't. I do encourage you to give it a try yourself. Just use 4 seeds out of a pack and save the rest for your normal routine....they aren't that expensive. You have very little to lose and some tasty, fat-assed buds to gain. I did.
Peace out! :smokin:

it is somewhat strain dependant some will flower with as little as 10 1/2 hours of darkness some may need 11 hours of darkness to flower but all you need is a mature plant or clone and place it out early enough in the spring.
it would be very hard for someone living very far north to do without a greenhouse due to colder weather and increased hours of light they would need to even get an earlier start than you did.
spring harvest do not usually yield much compared to a fall harvest so if your buying seeds best bet is to start earlier indoors like jan 1 and veg until they show preflowers and then clone so you are only placing out females and you get alot more plants to work with out of 1 pack of seeds.

Your plants look great! How long have they been flowering for?
I planted 2nd week in March. Mine started flowering the first week of May and I harvested today. I don't get why so many people get hung up on this 12/12 thing.
I left the bottom small clusters in the ground. I too figure.. what the hell if it veg's again this year it will be cool. If not.. thats ok too.
