Colorado Dispensary Reviews
I meet up with my new care giver yesterday. This guy is VERY cool, and very real about growing great MJ for people at a great cost. His dream is to grow, make good money and help a lot of people. His grows are located in one of Boulder's "MMJ Grow Zones", he's had the fire department and all the other regulatory commissions out and their certificates hang on the wall. It feels good to have a guy like this taking care of you.
He's got a LOT of different crops coming in, and he told me that when he does, or when he's selecting between plants, he'll hook me up with a good portion of each one to get my thoughts.
And that's only part of the perks. What am I saying is, forget the dispensaries, except for the few that are going to offer top notch bud at decent prices.
And Puffer Lungs, after having some of my grower's stuff yesterday, I can now tell a HUGE difference between bad Kind and good/great kind. Back in the day, where I'm from, something like perm would have been a Godsend. Now it's a waste of money.
Here's to progress! :stoned:

Agreed. I personally think the dispensaries are being greedy right now. On the one hand - it is REALLY nice to be able to access legal medication and get a receipt. I have no problem paying taxes on it. Everything on the "up and up" across the board. On the other hand - they are charging way too much for mediocre quality.
Unfortunately for the dispensary, people are getting wise to them and it's starting to get competitive.

I'm gonna have to say that I agree with you. Having a great caregiver who supplies quality bud at fair prices is the best way to go. Maybe hit a few dispensaries here and there just to mix it up.

I think a few years from now, we'll all look back and laugh about the great pot shop boom. The fact is that most everyone will end up with a caregiver, who gives them a percentage of the harvest for FREE, and everything else at a great price. It's a money maker, and a person who grows well could fill up a football field with weed every month considering all the people who would LOVE to save $280.00 to $400.00 monthly, and all they have to do is sign a piece of paper.
I know growers who are doing this, and they are stoked that they get to grow (and profit) more and at the same time, HELP PEOPLE OUT! We are in a shitty economy (for a lot of people) and the general thinking is, "Hey, if a guy can have a little more money for his kids at Christmas, and all I have to do is share a little of what is ALREADY HIS to begin with, then great".
I like this model, it makes a lot of sense.

Thank you. That is honest no-greed situation is what it comes down to. Damn, The point is non-profit. So cover all business expenses. period. Owner is not supposed to benefit in any way fiscally. All im saying is keep profits at a minimum, you're still making enough money to live a avg. life and you could grow medical marijuana as a living, but no matter how good the meds. are their should be no more 60 1/8's. Should be like 30. Then profits will be at 50% or something, compared to the average 300% that one could make from a X amount of investment and 3 months, if used at full potential. Those are black market prices that people have, why? They are making money. The point here is to make it better for the patients and not as profitable for the grower. Notice i did'nt say not profitable, just not AS profitable. It's too much of a gold mine right now with idiots coming in with money and just using it to invest. Not to say i would'nt do that to get started but im just talkn out my ass. So it's whatever lol. My point is i am for sure i could supply as much meds as each patient needs off of 3 plants. I mean who is smkn more than 1 oz a week?

That really doesn't work, with so many factors to consider , including inexperience in horticulture.

Man, we really should start breaking reviews out into separate threads. Each dispensary should have it's own thread when a new review is posted and then others can post their experience under that... this thread is getting WAY to fucking cumbersome to get around in!! I remember seeing reviews in here, but it takes me forever to find them again when I'm looking for them...

i had this problem too so i put my delta-9 review in their thread and likewise with my ccf review. i might be going back to grateful meds soon and probably update my last review of them in their thread. every dispensary owner should have a profile on here. :)

Although not from a clinic, last night i picked up 5 grams, all different strains.
Best to worst 1-5, w/ nothing below a C- i would say. But not one of them was A+ neither.
1. GDP A-
2. Maui Waui B+
3. sour d B-
4. "kush" Was not OG, But minor soapy taste. C+
5. Some kind of "Headband" C-
He also had some "cherry pie" that was 25 a g. Screw that so i did'nt buy it.
EDIT: For grading, and price. $85.oo. Decent deal!!!:pimp:
