what happens when you die?
You can dwell in a higher dimension and still have your body and function in the material. I think it's after the fifth or sixth that you can't really come back in a body, or at least you don't want to. That's what I've read anyway. To come back means to have to start over again and the potential to lose what you once knew comes into play. Potential to screw up your karmic path you worked up towards because you forgot, etc. Birthing amnesia.
Yes, you are right about that. Something important you have forgotten does lie here. All of us have forgotten something very important. I would suggest trying to look into your past. I used to think the past had no value and that the only moment that mattered was the present. While this is true, the past can teach us valuable lessons and helps to piece together where we are on our karmic journey. That way, it can be an invaluable tool to help us grow.

See, I see it differently. I see it like you (not you persay, but everyone) is here because they choose to be here. Why did you choose? Maybe when you came here, you found out it wasn't so great and now you want to leave, but I don't think you came here because you didn't want to be here.
Myself? I see the gloom and doom and shitty side to society and what not and do feel sort of constricted here, but all in all I enjoy being here. I like this planet and life on this plane. I'll enjoy my time while I have it and cherish the fact that I have the opportunity to further my evolution.

no, no, i see it about the same way... but i cant imagine what would compel me to make that decision...
seeing as, being human, there is nothing i can do to help the situation but bitch, piss, moan, rant, and gripe about it.
i've posted all sorts of philosophical insights, but technically, nothing new.
dont get me wrong, under different circumstances, i would LOVE to be here, this is a most beautiful place to exist, but those circumstances include unbound freedom and the ability to live to my own standards, without paying tribute to anyone if i didnt want to.
I cant grow acres upon acres of Cannabis for use in industry, medicine, recreation, and shelter, i cant be left alone to use what the earth has to offer because there is always some sort of monopoly being enforced on the earth's resources. other issues are personal problems that i am okay with, but the social environment is not set in a manner to make them easily dealt with, and, if anything, bigger problems than they really are.
the spirit of this world has for so long been diminishing, that is surely why i am here, but there is not a god damned thing i know that i can do about it.

Well... for you all who likes this stuff of past lifes, i would recommend this 2 books from Robert Monroe: Far Journeys and Ultimate Journey. There he explains how was his own experience discovering his past lifes and related stuff during his OOBEs. This books can be found in pdf at sites as esnipes, scribd, etc. His description is very interesting, and while i dont quite believe it, its nevertheless a nice reading.
I dont believe it very much because in most his journeys he was helped by what Don Juan Matus calls the "inorganic beings", and almost every places that he did visit are in this beings realm. As Don Juans views about this beings is not a positive one, i take Monroes observation with a grain of salt, owing the fact that, accordingly Don Juan, this beings usually lures and entraps humans in their realm. So what Monroe saw could be true, but only inside the inorganic beings realm. And as Don Juans goal was the complete freedom (including from any inorganic beings), he didnt encouraged anyone to make such journeys or even associate itself with this beings. More information about this can be found at Carlos Castanedas The Art of Dreaming, which also can be found in pdf at the same sites.

in spite of ideas on death, and i guess oobe's, i am still seeking the answer to life... with little luck.
the primary mentality seems to be "my way or the highway" in this world. that cannot be the meaning of life! selfishness and greed cannot be able to provide comfort and contentedness for the countless lives that walk run swim and fly the earth!
why i am here, i have yet to learn for certain.

Are people still asking this question? I figured that everyone knew the answer was "To live" by now. There's no "point" except to live, do good work and make the best of the time you have. Simple as that.

Sometimes that's the greatest thing you can do to help others. I learn a lot from your posts. We are all here to share our knowledge and to lift each other up.

New to some.

I feel the same way, but I also see my role and realize that, while this is an awful situation our species is in, to truly change it we have to go inward. The external will follow.

On the contrary. The spirit of the world in my view is getting increasingly intense and vibrating on a whole new level. Some are hearing the call and responding, others are not. What you can do to help? Respond. Hold the frequency. More on that later.

Here's something to think about.
"The purpose of our incarnations, it was explained, was to begin disrupting the false, underlying premises of the historical state, educating people and gently introducing the truth. "Your role, " our narrator continued, "is to prepare people for the time when the lies that give birth to all fear-centered thinking will be banished forever from human consciousness. Though it may sound strange to you, if human populations are not prepared, it will be much more difficult for them to survive the cleavage, so entwined are the thoughts of fear, not only in their thinking, but even in their very sense of self. We must help them relax with their identitites and stop defining themselves as vulnerable entities."
-Ken Kesey
