Yea, there was a severe shortage of weed here in the mid 70s but a friend had Nepalese finger hash in supply for 6 months. In the early 70s the Mexican even had flavor and quality (relatively speaking). Occasionally got some Jamaican or Panama Red,then it went to brown dirt Mexican. Then there was a wave of good Columbian, that was generally better than any of the Mexican had been. Then that became dirt/dried up Columbian. Then the exotic domestic stuff started showing up and we learned the term sinsemilla. Since then the only bad thing is the prices.

I tried this the outher night while prunning.
i ate 5 to 10 little lower buds right off the plant since im usning all organics
and edible anytime.
it tasted like strong lettuce at first then smoothed out like the taste of a good salad. yummy
and yes i was medicated for several hours like mayby, well cant remember, LOL
if you eat weed i think its best raw of the vine if using the right Nutes.
be heart healthy eat a bud salad.

Man People are Stupid! You Can't get high off just eating weed. You must either Smoke it or Cook it into A Fatty Substance "ex. Butter, Milk, Oil... Then you may make cookies or brownies with it etc.... THC will only bind with receptors under those conditions. EATING BUDS DOES TASTE GOOD, IF THE WEED IS GOOD BUT WILL NOT GET YOU HIGH! If you think so, you are stupid and have made weed into placebo.

Heated or dehydrated? There are many who will claim that in order for pot ot reached it's potential it must be heated. I believe the usual explanation is this converts thca into thc. But I am not a chemist.
In my personal experience eating really dry, like totally dehydrated weed, it will get you very high. The main difference from diffusing it into an oil/fat is that the buzz is slower in coming on because you also have to digest the plant material.

For sure about the prices. I use to live at Lake Tahoe in 1970 and could get the good hash for about a year then my connects brother got busted and I have not hash that good since. After the short wave of good Columbian (San Marta Gold was killer) there was the Thai weed that was good for a while. Then folks started tying buds onto sticks and calling it Thai stick. I got some of the stuff that drifted up on the beaches in the early 70's. It was Buddha Thai sticks and was just awesome. Folks were finding 100 lb barrels of weed washed up on the beaches. I have had similar dreams but never such a reality.
