So IS that Grow with CFLs Or did you get that 250W HPS Light that you mentioned earlier on the First Page?

umm yeah this grow is also with cfl's... i planned on buying the hps... and still am planning on it but right now i dont have enough money ... had to buy my books for school and stuff but by the next flowering i will deffinatly have a hps.. pretty sure it will increase my yeild by alot.. and since i have a mother now i will have only girls under the hps..
OK, heres the story. I do plumbing for a living... i got called out to a house to change two shower/tub faucets. The customer was a woman who's name did not sound familiar. I went to the house and when the door opened, a guy answered the door that i used to play music with like over 10 years ago, and even then i really didnt know him all that well. Anyway, he didnt recognize me so i told him who i was,he remembered me and that was that. Im in his master bedroom closet changing the tub faucets because thats where the access panels were. The whole time im in there im noticing these dead leafs on the floor of the closet. I pic a few of them up and look closer. You guessed it... they were MJ leaf trimmings. I noticed stacks of hightimes mags in the closet as well, reflective material and such. So i start thinking, this guy grows. Well anyways after i was done with my job and was recieving the payment, i decided to start a little small talk. I asked him if he still played music and such and he told me yes. I told him that i gave up on music and found a new hobby. I said i was into "indoor gardening" with a little wink and said "know what i mean?" He said, "Oh yeah?" He just nodded a little.. paused and said "Let me show you what i got". Dude started showing me all this grow stuff... showing me photos of his 8 lbs grow he did. Now heres the part that i was psyched about, he wants to sell me his 1000 watt HID MH/HPS setup for $150. And to top it off... this dude gave me, repeat GAVE me a packet of about 20 seeds. At first i was like yeah thanks thinking they were just some local schwag bagseeds. He told me they were Haze X skunk. Is this a legit strain? And the coup de grace, he also GAVE me a bag of foxfarm ocean forest and bottles of GH three part nutes!! :dance: I was so fucking excited i could not believe it. He told me that his wife was expecting soon and was getting rid of stuff... but he wants to sell me the light. I really want to buy it too. So there it is, my little story. Maybe not so big of a deal, but for me it was really somthing. Getting seeds of this kind blew my mind because all i could ever get was schwag/bagseeds. I will try another grow soon with these new seeds and the soil/nutes i was given. thanks for listening, later man!!
lol wow i wish something that big would just fall into my lap.. wow 100 watter conversion ballast and evertything jeez man ur one lucky guy.. see it was destiny for those little plants to die to make room for the big boys to come and play... lol and yes haze x skunk is a very very popular/potent strain... best of luck to you and your new found luck... btw fox farm ocean forest soil is one of .. if not the best soil around.. very best of luck to u

woohoo, i got the 1000 w system! The bulbs are freakin huge, like footballs. And one of them is an almost new, only used once sunmaster warm deluxe. :D
lol nice man... just remember ur gonna need alot of ventilation... and also .. dont touch the bulbs with your bare hands... the oil from your fingers will get on the bulb and when it heats up it could make it explode... just fer ur safety..

yeah, im probably not gonna use them in my home, but when i get my work shed built. I really dont see a need to use the MH bulb at all, being that i have all sorts of CFLs for vegging. I knew about the handling of the bulbs, but thanks for your concern and mentioning the hazard. Now im starting to wonder if getting the 1000 watter was overkill for me. :/
lol i would love to have a 1000 watter and u got very lucky... u will be fine just search cool tube.. cus ur prolly gonna need one with that and then the temps wont be that bad.. but u will be amazed and the size of the buds ur gonna pull with a 1000 watter,, re-god-dam-diculous i tell you!
