Thanks for the info/pic on "topping! I may want to try this. Mate, again ur awesome so keep on delivering.
Just viewed a bunch of videos on "topping" & yes.... I will top em off. Appears to be popular for increasing the yield. So much to learn & I'm doing it on the fly.

fish emulsion is good stuff. Make sure your plants are ready for nutes first - three weeks doesn't necessarily indicate it's time to fert. Wait for the cotyledons to yellow and start to fall off, then apply fert (this is a sign that the plant has used up all of its own nutrients) Start off by using it at 1/4 strength and gradually build up the concentration, but never exceed the recommended strength on the bottle. So, grab a gallon of good water and only put in 1/4 the amount of fish emulsion recommended on the bottle to start. Feed like any other watering and you should be well on your way.
hope it helps youQuote:
Yes, 5-1-1 fish guts is good shiz fer the vegetative stage of growth. Start off with 1 tablespoon per gallon of water and water 'till it pours out the bottom of pot. You can use up to 2 tbls/gal. later on. Watch how much yer babies like it. Give 'em a dose every other watering, they will love it!

Talking about in approx. 1 month or so....Now I'm using "Plant-Tone" & they are grooving on this~ Plant-Tone" nute is 5-2-2 (high N) & I'm giving it every other day. The "Alaska" Fish Fert is 2-2-2. If I'm incorrect please advise? The cotyledons are most definitely yellowed & are either off or falling off.

look at the packets of the plant food and look for a balance that is low in nitrogen (N) and high in Phosphorus (P) and Potassium (K).
I'll check it out. methinks there are a TON of nutes out thar. Think I'm gonna keep it VERY SIMPLE being a "amateur" when it comes to this stuff. I will take on all help, encouragement but think in the end one needs to use his/her common sense & run with it.
