Spades is almost the same, except the person to the left of the dealer, goes first. If you don't have a card of the 'proper' suit, you can throw a spade, which beats all suits.

been like 4 years since i played euchre...you have 2 teams of 2, you try to win "tricks" by having the highest card value, going from 2-ace and spade-hearts as usual, there are other rules trying to member....
its pretty basic, you lay it to a number of games won, like 7 or something, so its faster paced.
You try to get 'books', meaning the entire hand.
You want to get more cards, or make someone else take them?Quote:

Opposite of Hearts, you want them.
man, I missed a lot....I played spades in the military.....but it would take me a bit to get warmed up.......we also played spades with partners.....I think
you count point in books, like you want to win individual hands? or you want all the cards of one suit?
You have to play with partners. Welcome back! ;)
The highest card of the round, takes the hand and counts it as a book. Before the hand, after you get your cards, you and your partner guess how many books you'll get.
