Lemme recornsider. Was thinkin' before about just retreating the king a space but that seemed awfully passive considering my tempo problems.
Looks like I'm gonna lose an extra pawn or whatever a rook-minus-bishop equals on any upcoming exchanges. :asskick:
Now that you see the power of check by discovery, lets back up a couple moves .
Instead of B -kn5, try B - Q2.
That will un-pin your Qkn, save your pawn, cancel the Check threat.
And give you a strong defensive position.
Downside?
It costs some time, putting white 4 moves behind.
But, if white can last through the mid game there's still a shot.:)
What say you?
Weeze

Sorry, more excitement around here. Still waiting to hear from the vendor on my blue led, so I went ahead and built another light with just the 5 reds while I'm waiting. Sorry for the delays; this game is prolly going slower that yer last snail-mail match. I'll move tonight, I promise...
I check your contributions to the other threads periodically. You are a very gracious and poised fellow, even with all your "deficiencies!" :D:S2::hippy:

Okay, I'll try it. I thought B-Kkn5 could harass your knight and rook a little, but you can solve that problem with a pawn. This is a stronger defensive position for sure. But I've got a lot invested in those bishops! :(
Moved the board back to my desk, out of wagging tail and snuffling snout range. I can't change seats and play the other side of the board in here, but the pieces don't move themselves around, either. Big chunky carved pieces suddenly make sense to me, as do those little "travel" sets with pegs on the bottoms of the pieces and holes in the board (if they still make 'em.)
Your move at last,
Hermie

Yes you do.
Hmmm, thanks for that observation.
Guess it's time for black to xchange a piece that has been moved once.
Kn X B!

Lift board straight up 9.7"
Rotate 180 degrees clockwise.
slowly lower, exaclty 9.7".

I is not that dense... last week, maybe, but I is better now. :D This board came folded into quarters, not bisected as usual. It may as well be painted onto a sheet, as far as moving it goes. To add to the thrills, all the lightweight, poorly balanced pieces have radiused bases to insure easy tippability.
Lessee...here's a perfect size piece of glass I can back the board with. Just need to weight the bases of the pieces a little... Now, where's that depleted uranium I had layin' around??
But I digress. :D Rook takes Knight.
Is the Ducky of Doom eyeballing my boldest pawn?

Are you speaking Solder again, you showoff, you?
If you are having problems with your leds (looks like you are; there's sparkly white stuff all over your buds) here's a spectral chart that may help you out. I'm basing my next light on it!

Rook to QB4.
Congratulations on the card. Eager to hear about it.

Hmmm,
Way to go, big gun.
King's rook to King 1.
Be some blood shed 'fore it's done.
Gettin' ready to annoy you with an isolated pawn.
Got our ducks inna row, we attack at dawn!
Then I'm gonna take off my shoes, climb a tree, and learn to play the flute.
(Beats finding a bunch of guys that dress alike and following them around).:smokin:
Badly bent by bake-off,:stoned:
