TEST LAUNCH-Operation Redwood Tree
Weedy- I'm very sorry about your loss. I lost my boy a few years back- Some little part of me always expects him to come running when I get home from work, and is always dissappointed when he doesn't.
It's funny- I've lost many people in my life, and been OK w/ it- but I still get teary when I remember a cat.
But he was my best friend, damnnit!
Easier to lose people, because you get to say goodbye, and know that they knew what you meant.
I'm very, very sorry- It's a bitter thing to outlive someone you love.

Wow....everyone's good feelings and well wishes REALLY help....you guys were the first folks I told even before my family (except Mr Hound of course)
I've had my share of dogs but even then he was QUITE special....one of those things where you know you've had contact with something really spectacular.....he will be very sorely missed.
Thanks again everyone.....you guys are the greatest group ever.
Ps.....Hopefully will have Mr H's test results by Monday....will let everyone know then.
:)

I love the pits and the staffies......just won't have them while I have so many other animals.....but then again I'm not a dog trainer. I had one pit i couldn't do a THING with.....hired a trainer who rolled in and had her doing back flips on command in no time.....never raised a hand to her either. I was NEVER able to train dogs like that so am impressed by those who can. (Ps...within a month she back to normal....needed him around to STAY trained because I just dont KNOW what I'm doing with that stuff.....)

lol....yeah, you gotta have LOTS o time and devotion for the pits...gotta go off topic for a sec...I want your opinion on this light...ballast is internal too!...not replacing the LEDs...lol, but starting another room....wanna give those SNLxNH some good light  I am looking at the 400w with deluxe bulbs...tell me whatcha think

Hey cool set-up....I like it. You know I found 400w of mh lighting a bit tough on my seedlings and having moved the 400 w into the growroom (where it ROCKS btw!.....just need to work out the electrical) and just bought a 250w mh w/internal ballast. I'll grab a pic in a few.
My seedlings honestly seem happier with a 250 and I can get it closer to them. Obviously it doesn't have as big a footprint as with a 400w so might be too small for your needs depending on how many seedlings you are going to be starting but I'm already seeing less heat and stress related issues with the 250w.
I'm not sure what to tell you about cooling Stealth.....when we had the 400w in a LARGE room the heat it left was minimal (approx 20 x25 ish)....but in the growroom(16 x 12 or something) I ended up hooking it to a 4" inline fan and DO notice a definite difference in the room cooling by perhaps 3-4 degrees with it running inline vs venting into room. I'm thinking that your new room will be smaller and may need some sort of good ventilation to assist.

Im trying to go for a one light setup...space is an issue, your right, and the measurements on that one are great, and its total 800w that run together instead of switching bulbs...full spectrum broo haha....i think...lol

If you have cable or satellite be sure to check out "The dog Whisperer" and "It's me or the Dog". The latter is a British? version of the first. Good, interesting shows my whole family can watch and enjoy.
Evidently it's all about the trainers' thoughts and attitudes. Just remain calm, think good thoughts, and say "Shhh!" to your dog if he/she does something undesirable. Just spend 5 minutes doing this initially, and 3 seconds each day afterward, and your dog will be trained. Right SnS? Works on TV so it must be true.
I do it a little differently. When they do bad stuff they get the "No, bad dog" in a firm tone. Sometimes they even get a spanking if it's soon enough after the offense, and if I think I'll be able to make them understand what the punishement is for. When they do good stuff they get the "Good girl!" in a tone of praise, along with lots of attention and petting, and maybe a treat. I try very hard to not lay a hand on my dogs, but sometimes when they are young the firm tone just isn't enough. A delicate blend of positive and negative reinforcement. Is this about right whiskeytango, or, oh forget it. I'm rambling, and in the wrong forum. Cheers everyone. The sun is shining today and the meds are now kicking in.
