my grow log

thanks again postmand and greenfog,it's always good to hear the experienced growers opinions,lets me know how i'm doing,and thanks to everyone else who commented too,it's always appreciated

greenfog,the plant i took the cutting from,i had to chop early because there was something going wrong,so i chopped her just before 7 weeks,so can't really use that as a guide,though weed was still amazing,
i am thinking about seeds,but i really need to look into things a bit more,see what's suitable for scrog,but as it goes,this that i have is a really good strain,its branchy,decent yeilds,very forgiving,puts up with ridiculous temps/humidity to mention but a few of its good points,so even if i do get seeds,i reckon i'll try and keep at least 1 clone per grow of this one

hey whats up atsar,
very good job so far id say its a indica/sativa mix a lil on the indica side looking at the leaves. props man, very successful. what lighting are you using? and are you using mylar/foil?

aheadatime i use a 400 watt dual spectrum hps,and line the wardrobe with aluminium foil tape

so tonight i chopped her down,i based this decision on a couple of things,firstly i was seeing loads of deformed amber trichs,see pic 1

secondly,i'm going on to 14 hour shifts at work for a few days,maybe a week,i wouldn't have seen her at all in this time so i wouldn't have been able to check trichs/water etc without interupting it's dark time

so based upon this i decided it was time to chop,spent 3 hours trimming her down a little and hanging the buds,no idea of the wet weight,no point really,will post weight when it's dry

anyway,some pics

hmm excuse me if this is a stupid question but ive seen tons of different items to buy when i look up grow lights. there are hps bulbs (without a system, just a bulb) reflectors, etc. what do i buy to get the setup? do i get a reflector and simply screw in the hps bulb? and damn atsar, all that from one hps bulb?

you LSTed your plants i think. what did you use for the tying? fish line? im going to start my closet soon on a full spec 90 wat cool flour and a 400 wt hps with about 3 maybe 4 plants going at once. obviously im gonna need some LSTing done for space. thanks for the answers atsar, the yeild looks delicious =] tons of props bro

with hps you need a ballast,bulb and appropriate light fitting,reflector is very useful too,you can buy them as complete kits/units,for the lst i just used plain ordinary string

Nice harvest and awsome lst job. Looks like you harvested at a good time juding by your tricomes ; it should be a good buzz nice combination of an "up" type stoned high and a lil body buzz.

btw, exactly how many plants did you have pre-harvest?

well,i had 4 plants,but now i only have 3 as i harvested one,the 3 will be ready at different times and are just small single top plants

so wait, all that harvest was from one plant? how many oz's did that weigh to when finished drying? and with lsting, do you keep it tied down until you start budding or what?

omg i cant believe that all that bud is from one plant. what a terrific yeild holy shit

well it's been hanging 5 days now,stems snap nicely and it's as dry as it needs to be,trimmed the last of the crystal coated leaves off for hash and got it in a tub to cure,it's so damn nice,really sticky and tasty,i reckon it could be blueberry,it tastes/smells like the weed my neighbour just bought,only a little more potent

aheadatime,it weighed in at 121 grams,11 less than the mother plant i took the clone from,which really surprised me as i only lst'ed that plant,and not much either,just 1 bend 1 week into 12/12

so in conclusion,i can fit 4 lst'ed girls in my space compared to maybe 2 scrogs at a squeeze,and the lst seems to yeild slightly more with this strain,as long as i'm growing this strain,i'll go lst,though i have to say the scrog was an experience and i'm really glad i did it,and i reckon i could probably do it better now that i actually know what i'm doing

4 ozs huh, good job. whats your method for curing it/ how long do you do it? and im still a bit confused as to how you did your lsting. you said you did it 2 weeks into veggin and kept it down for 2 weeks if im not mistaking. ill keep that in mind when i grow

aheadatime,have you actually read any of this post?or just the first message?because all the bloody questions you're asking answers are in this post,and if you'd bothered to get to like the 3rd or 4th message you'd have seen that i changed from lst to scrog yeah,there's a difference,it's called a screen and it's in near on every pic in this post,so before asking more questions,read what's already here!!
