This topic about stealing, stealing is stealing. Just because you think a big company can afford to lose $2 because you're too cheap and ignorant to buy it yourself doesn't mean it goes unnoticed.

Wal-Mart loses about $200,000 a year in thefts. If everyone thought like Orange Floyd no one would be able to stay in business.

Ahh... that reminds me of my time working at K-mart back when I was a wee child. I'l always swing by the food dept and grab something to eat every day for lunch. I did this regularly for two years... I'd have felt much worse about that if the manager wasn't a dick. He would yell at me for not staying near the register in electronics, and would then later yell at me for not organizing/cleaning the store. I'm not two people... that fat bastard.

FYI, when you are shipping 5 million pants for 5 hundred thousand dollars, the cost is negligible, and stock the pants you say...how much does tammy get paid?? $7.00 to stock the shelf, that seems pretty dam cheap...

There's also storage for holding stock. Paying to have inventory done. Power and other utilities to house the products. Supplies to present the items (shelves and whotnot). There's also the equitment used to sale the items such as cash registers, conveyor belts at the checkout. Shopping carts. Cleaning supplies. I could go on, but you get the point.

you're right about the shipping, but it's still not free.

The point is that stealing is stealing no matter if it's from walmart or Uncle Joes baitshop. The only way I could see someone not understanding this is if it's some 15 yr old douchebag, or someone will mental disabilities.

Also, I don't condone paying people less that what they're do for a hard days work, but if Tammy is making $7 an hour, she should have thought twice about dropping out of highschool. GED isn't sounding too good anymore is it.

I don't like walmart so don't get me wrong about them. I know they markup stuff and swindle the empoyees, but stealing only makes the situation worse. If you're an actual accountant and you think that stealing from walmart doesn't hurt the other employees, then I'm gonna have to question where you got your degree from.

Anyone disagree? Take a business course or two, you'll see. I ABSOLUTELY do not agree with stealing. But when you do steal from a big cooperation, you are not affecting the big, middle, or little guy's on the spectrum. Did you know that most company's lose more themselves, e.g grocery stores throwing out bread because it's a day old, then they lose from theft?

As the guy before said, your taking a little over two dollars from them, product depending. Yes there is other costs, but they're making way more profit of those pants then their even close to being worth. These cooperations are stealing from us, not the other way around. Cooperation's are generally corrupt. They do not care about the consumer, they care about the influx of money they are receiving. Do a little research on Wall mart, do a little research on the economy... Expand your mind people.

you know what's funny is everyone talks about high markup prices, but no one can deny that the prices as walmart are cheaper than your mom and pops stores. People hate walmart for that reason alone. What would happen if they reduced the price even more? They would blow away everyone else. There would be no competition

Yeah, innocent are hurt and stealing is wrong. But this guy steals and its happening and always will. It's taken into account for always has and always will. And employee theft is a huge problem. I think the Waltons need to be locked up for their business practices as well. All these companies that buy from sweat shops. But Capitalism is a bitch huh. And to tell you the truth, i'm gettin my degree in 12 more weeks last semester...whew. The prices are kinda close to the quality tho.

I completely understand how you feel about Walmart. I hate having to go there to shop but it happens from time to time. Whenver possible I try to stick to the small locally owned stores. The lady at the bait shop rags me every time she hears I went to walmart.

The only reason I make a big deal about this subject is becaus there's so many kids on there that read and post that can't understand the difference between walmart the shareholders and the people who clean the bathrooms. I don't like the idea of some kid thinking that stealing from walmart is a good idea. It's not. It's dumb to say the least.

One time i was shopping there and i ate this string cheese and i forgot to pay, but i bought a bunch of other shit, the wrapper still in my cart , then security came up to me and was like EXCUSE ME.....i went back and gave em a .25 they told me they could arrest me and i laughed at them. I explained myself in the second part of the post... I feel that I would be holding a double standard.

I don't want to have thing's stolen from me, therefore I do not steal.

If I were to steal, that would be a double standard on my part, and I hate double standards. My hating theft has nothing to do with it hurting other people, it's actually a very selfish reason lol.

Hey you're talking to one of the kings of being misunderstood. I really wish I had payed more attnetion to english in school. If you haven't noticed my spelling and grammer sucks nuts so it's easy for something I say to be taken the wrong way. Some of my posts come off as if I'm all pissed off and fired up about it, but I'm really not. I've only actually lost my temper a few times on the boards and I've tried to apologize whenever it happens.

I don't think it was a perma ban. Just a little cool-off period to think about what he said. It's not only a matter of making us look bad, but as this site is viewed by cops and others, it's not a bad idea for the mods to put a temp ban on a member that may draw unwanted attention. At least that's what I think.
