been having a couple of issues, hopefully I'll get them resolved..gave plants diluted nute-water tonight...hoping that it's what my babies are lacking...this is my third growing attempt and third time's usually a charm..
how far in are they now? just over 3 weeks? :)
start times were 2/12(pic 4), 2/14(pic 3), and 2/19(pic 2)...
good shit man lookin very nice. You plan to LST ??? Those would look so good as a bush!!!
have almost no choice but to bro...look at fifth pic in most recent update...that's the space I've got...I can go about two or three more feet up maybe with the light...but definitely gonna tie em down and try to keep them pretty low...actually growing space is like 35 wide and 62 high...not too much room but it'll be good practice for LST..thanks for the comments :thumbsup:Quote:

Gonna top the biggest one tomorrow...It's 9 inches tall and has seven sets of developed leaves...pics indicate where I'm cutting..it's right above seventh set.
topped it just now...hoping it does it a lot of good
got 10' of flex duct from the hardware store today before I went to work...got home tonight and improvised...this is what I came up with to bring my air down from the attic to my grow space...I don't have any exhaust really except for my door being cracked and it allows for a bit of air to flow from it..but with at least a bit of air coming from my attic that helps keep it pretty cool...
I had a hell of a time figuring out a way to put the small fan to where it would blow air into the duct...as you can see that I used supplement jug..anyone got some advice on how to improvise a way to get fan to the end of a duct and blowing through? I'm using small household fans..I would like to create a duct for exhaust, but am stumped right now on how to affix a fan..anyone got an idea I'm open for suggestions on that part..thanks
MA are those leaf edges curling down? You say you just got that light. how far away is it? Maybe it's just the photo...?
yes, weedhound some of them seem to be curling and getting upside down canoe look...I would believe it's from room temps. Light's a good 18 inches away from this one...I'm doing what I can to stabilize temps to around or hopefully below 80...for a couple hours during the daytime it gets up to 85 I believe..but lights go out soon after that..Quote:

light's a good 12-15 inches away from the plant in first pic there..
You might try pulling your light back just a touch for a few days until they get used to the new lighting.......hps is a big step above your original lighting....I have some new seedlings I just stuck in my hydro and can't use my light on them yet....mh1kw.....even from about 4 feet....have to edge it in bits at a time or they get heat stressed even though room temp is good. . Are they perked up in the morning? Maybe I'm just being paranoid.
I've had this HPS running for several days now..they've actually grown quite a bit. as for perkyness..sometimes in the day they nearly droop plum over..like they're tired or something...but couple hours later they're fine. I share the concern with heat though..bigtime. I've had hermies last two tries because of heat I would say..I don't want that again. I'll be watching them closely..Quote:

thanks weedhound..yeah, me too..plants are kinda starting to worry me..I don't want to fuck up another grow..weed's much too hard to find around here. Hopefully I can do what I need to to keep them happy  :stoned:Quote:

scrapped that duct...wasn't moving enough air...gonna place an order for one of these..6 In. 110VAC 250CFM In-Line Duct Fan. Should displace enough air to make me happy..and significantly better once I can get a cool tube.
within the next couple days..I get paid tomorrow. gonna run a 6" duct with that fan at the top in my attic access..coming from my growspace...then I'm hoping to get a cool tube to connect the duct to soon...but for now just gonna have it down pulling air out..that should work for me.
In-line duct fan worked wonders for me! Worth every penny.
Sounds Good Man! :D
bent the plants over today...gonna order duct fan and go to home depot saturday to get duct. then hopefully in a couple weeks or less I can get a cooltube ordered
Growin' good it looks like.
lookin kwl m8, id try to sort those leaves speedy. I havent actually read ur thread jus scanned it...
How much u watering? Mine was overwaterd
thanks bro..I was thinking heat but I'll back off on the water and see what it does.
here's some pics

Wow Markass, just had to stop in and say hi to my fave jailbait.:D
I'm impressed with your dedication man. Your babes are looking healthy and happy. I can't wait to see your finished results.
Hmm...leaves that were above the first two petals of the plant..are dying off...maybe a slight nute burn too? Not sure cause the rest of the plant doesn't have any leaves like that...just dying off? Well they're doing good, I'm going to flower them within a few days..about that time
other pic is clear joint I rolled and me and my bro smoked it earlier...trippy to watch the smoke inside of it :stoned:
Not nute burn. Deficiency. How's your pH?
markass, what are you feeding your plants and whats the schedule? id like to compare it to how im going to do mine. i got a blueberry plant in my garden as well. my nutes didnt come in the mail yet but in a few days ill have the whole fox farm line with superthrive as well. if you look through my recent threads ull see my plants arent doing as good as yours at all but theyve been put through some stress since this is my first indoor grow.
umm..no way to measure it at this moment...I've been forking a lot of cash over to get this ventilation squared away...a lot more than I planned. Noticed some pricey digital ph meters on the web...anyone know of a cheap way to measure PH..?Quote:

Sucking air in from the attic might not be the best idea, since attics usually contain hot stale air.
I'd be willing to bet Markass is going to be pushing the hot stale air from the closet into the attic , not vise versa . :wtf:Quote:

He said he was pulling the air in from the attic.
If those brown edges aren't spreading on your leaves I'd call it light burn....wow and who was it that said pull your light back.......:p
That may have been what I was going to do..but things have changed since then...using 6" in-line duct fan and 6" duct to push air into attic..:thumbsup:Quote:

Here's an update...sprayed some 'garden safe houseplant and garden insect spray' today on all of them...you can kinda see the glossy stuff still on some of the leaves. I want to make sure I don't have any pests...the ones I've seen I haven't liked. Plants are growing well...and within a few days, I should be sure of the sex..pre-flowers seem to be popping out closer to the tops. Should be ordering my cool tube tomorrow too  :stoned:
